NUG Acting President Sends Official Commendation Certificates for Receipt of USD 100,000 Monthly ONE DAY CHALLENGE Fund<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 1<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Committee Supporting the Anti-Dictatorship Movement (Korea) has been contributing funds to the National Unity Government (NUG) on a monthly basis under the \u201cONE DAY CHALLENGE\u201d initiative since August 2021. Each month, they have consistently donated an amount in Korean won equivalent to USD 100,000. By July 1, 2025, the cumulative total of their contributions had reached USD 3.3 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acting President of the National Unity Government,&nbsp;<strong>Duwa Lashi La<\/strong>, has issued official commendation certificates acknowledging the monthly support of USD 100,000 received through the ONE DAY CHALLENGE. The 33rd certificate was officially dispatched on&nbsp;<strong>July 1, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NUG recognizes ONE DAY CHALLENGE members by officially classifying their monthly contributions as tax payments. Tax receipts are issued every&nbsp;<strong>six months<\/strong>, and commendation certificates signed by the Acting President are presented annually to honor their contributions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The donations from the ONE DAY CHALLENGE have significantly supported the NUG\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Strategic Governance Plan<\/em>&nbsp;aimed at exerting frontline pressure on the junta and achieving revolutionary success. Key allocations from the fund include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>USD 30,000 (approx. CRPH Meets with Union Parliament Representatives to Discuss Military and Political Developments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 1<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Committee Representing the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) held meetings with Union Parliament Representatives from various regions and states over three consecutive days to discuss the current political and military situation. National Unity Government Expresses Grave Concern Over the Lives of Political Prisoners, Including President U Win Myint and State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 1<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Unity Government (NUG) has expressed deep concern for the safety and well-being of political prisoners, including President&nbsp;<strong>U Win Myint<\/strong>&nbsp;and State Counsellor&nbsp;<strong>Daw Aung San Suu Kyi<\/strong>. The concern was highlighted during a press briefing by NUG Spokesperson&nbsp;<strong>U Nay Phone Latt<\/strong>, representing the Office of the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDue to the lack of adequate healthcare and ongoing repression inside prisons controlled by the terrorist military regime, there have been multiple instances of political prisoners losing their lives,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He continued:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLeaders of the nation, such as President U Win Myint and State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, are also being held under arbitrary detention by the junta. They are reportedly being denied proper medical treatment. Over MMK 2.65 Trillion in Humanitarian Support Delivered via NUGPay<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 1<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NUG has delivered more than&nbsp;<strong>2.65 trillion Myanmar Kyat<\/strong>&nbsp;worth of humanitarian support using&nbsp;<strong>NUGPay<\/strong>, the government&#8217;s digital financial platform. This information was revealed in a public report from NUGPay and reaffirmed by&nbsp;<strong>Union Minister U Tin Tun Naing<\/strong>&nbsp;of the Ministry of Planning, Finance, and Investment during his remarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs of now, using NUGPay, we have successfully provided over MMK 2.65 trillion in assistance and support to more than&nbsp;<strong>38,000 users<\/strong>, including individual revolutionaries and resistance battalions,\u201d the Minister announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also emphasized that NUGPay has initiated and is actively implementing a&nbsp;<strong>priority development project<\/strong>&nbsp;aimed at establishing a comprehensive&nbsp;<strong>P2P (Peer-to-Peer) network<\/strong>&nbsp;capable of covering the entire revolutionary community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently,&nbsp;<strong>NUGPay is operational across five regions within Myanmar and in 28 countries worldwide<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>5. Monywa Protest Leader Ko Wai Moe Naing Brutally Beaten with Metal Rod at Obo Prison Gate; Denied Emergency Medical Treatment Despite Losing Consciousness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 1<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Political prisoners transferred to&nbsp;<strong>Obo Prison\u2019s intake section (known as \u201cBuu Wa\u201d)<\/strong>&nbsp;were subjected to unlawful beatings, with&nbsp;<strong>Ko Wai Moe Naing<\/strong>, a prominent leader of the Monywa protest movement, specifically targeted, according to the&nbsp;<strong>Myanmar Political Prisoners Network (PPNM)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the incident, a prison officer deliberately struck Ko Wai Moe Naing on the forehead with a&nbsp;<strong>metal rod<\/strong>, causing a severe laceration. Other political prisoners were also subsequently beaten as part of the same incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the assault,&nbsp;<strong>Ko Wai Moe Naing suffered a head injury<\/strong>, lost a significant amount of blood, and&nbsp;<strong>fell unconscious<\/strong>. Although emergency medical attention was urgently needed,&nbsp;<strong>he was not transferred to the prison hospital<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>no treatment was provided while he was unconscious<\/strong>, the report confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once Ko Wai Moe Naing regained consciousness, he was&nbsp;<strong>immediately transferred to solitary confinement in the punishment block<\/strong>. He was also placed under&nbsp;<strong>tight restrictions<\/strong>, including&nbsp;<strong>revoking family visits and parcel privileges<\/strong>, and was subjected to&nbsp;<strong>leg shackling<\/strong>, according to further reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>6. SDB Bank Urges Users to Proactively Change Linked Email Passwords to Enhance Account Security<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 1<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a public advisory issued on July 1, SDB (Spring Development Bank) urged all users to&nbsp;<strong>proactively change the password of the email account linked to their SDB account<\/strong>, in order to&nbsp;<strong>enhance security and prevent potential risks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRecently, in June 2025, there was a massive data breach that exposed login credentials (usernames and passwords) of approximately&nbsp;<strong>16 billion internet accounts worldwide<\/strong>. In light of this, SDB users are strongly advised to take preventive measures to stop unauthorized fund transfers or withdrawals from their accounts,\u201d the bank stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SDB clarified that&nbsp;<strong>there has been no breach of its own systems to date<\/strong>, but emphasized that users should still take precautions by&nbsp;<strong>changing the passwords of their email accounts linked to SDB<\/strong>, as a first line of defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bank further warned that if a user\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>email password is identical or similar<\/strong>&nbsp;to their SDB account password, it poses a serious financial security risk.
