The Northwestern Regional Military Command Headquarters (No Ma Kha)<\/strong>, based in Monywa Township, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, was attacked with ten short-range rockets<\/strong>, according to a statement released by the Chindwin Rocket Brothers (CRB)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack took place on June 27 at around 5:30 PM<\/strong>, when ten short-range rockets<\/strong> were launched into the military headquarters compound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The strike caused a fuel storage facility to explode<\/strong>, destroying two fuel tanks. Fires broke out in the camp\u2019s administrative office and storage warehouses<\/strong>, and the RB 12\/14 communication lines<\/strong> were reportedly damaged. Two private vehicles parked in front of the officers’ quarters were also destroyed by fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of casualties, two military officers, four officers\u2019 wives, and twelve soldiers were confirmed dead<\/strong> on the spot. Four more officers, fifteen soldiers, and two children of a battalion commander<\/strong> were injured and transported to Military Hospital (Branch) 4\/300<\/strong> by 6:00 PM<\/strong> that evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 28<\/strong>, an officer receiving treatment in the special care ward<\/strong>, one of the commander\u2019s children<\/strong>, and two more soldiers<\/strong> reportedly died from their injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack was led by the Chindwin Rocket Brothers (C.R.B.)<\/strong>, in collaboration with Chaw Myine Myine (Kani), Anonymous Heroes<\/strong>, and Chindwin Brothers<\/strong>. The Upper Myanmar Air Defense Force and Civil Division<\/strong> provided aerial reconnaissance and military intelligence for the operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At approximately 8:00 PM on June 28, 2025<\/strong>, the Military Intelligence Office (MI\/Sa Ya Hpa)<\/strong> of the junta stationed in Salin Town<\/strong> was bombed with a powerful explosive, according to a statement by the Salin Township Urban Guerrilla \u201cKyarpauk\u201d Force<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bombing caused significant damage to the buildings<\/strong>, and casualty details are still under investigation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operation was carried out jointly by the Salin Urban Guerrilla Kyarpauk Force<\/strong>, the People’s Security Force (temporary Pa La Pha)<\/strong>, the Southern Pakokku Medical Support Unit<\/strong>, and the Bamar Army<\/strong>. All participating forces successfully withdrew from the scene without sustaining casualties<\/strong>, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta camp based in Wedone-Wegyi Village<\/strong>, Phyu Township, Bago Region<\/strong>, was directly raided and attacked by revolutionary forces, according to a statement released by the Phyu Township People\u2019s Defense Force (Pa Ka Pha)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operation was launched at around 2:00 AM on June 29<\/strong>, and the battle lasted for five hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the clash, at least ten junta soldiers were killed<\/strong>. The junta forces received heavy reinforcements and conducted aerial bombardments using Jack Fighter aircraft<\/strong>. In the course of the fighting, one revolutionary fighter was killed<\/strong>, and another sustained minor injuries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The assault was jointly executed by the Phyu Township Pa Ka Pha<\/strong>, Yangon Region Pa Ka Pha Attack Unit (3)<\/strong>, Ayeyarwady Region Battalion 3<\/strong>, and the A Lar Waka Task Force<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta responded with indiscriminate shelling and airstrikes<\/strong>, resulting in numerous civilian injuries and fatalities<\/strong>, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clashes have broken out between a junta military convoy and resistance forces as the junta advances from Salin Township, Magway Region<\/strong> toward Sin Phyu Kyun Town<\/strong>, according to the Salin Township People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 28<\/strong>, the junta dispatched a military column comprising around 200 troops<\/strong>, supported by two armored vehicles<\/strong> and a troop transport truck<\/strong>. Intense fighting has continued for two consecutive days<\/strong>, the report stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 29<\/strong>, the military column allegedly torched and destroyed Pantain Kone Village<\/strong>, arresting local residents and using them as human shields<\/strong>, according to sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is reported that the junta is attempting to retake control<\/strong> of roads previously held by resistance forces by deploying a heavily armed convoy and that five local civilians<\/strong>, who were being used as human shields, have sustained injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This military offensive is reportedly part of an effort to reassert control over the strategically important Salin\u2013Sin Phyu Kyun<\/strong> and Tanyaung roads<\/strong>, crucial to junta-run Ka Pa Sa (Military Arms Production)<\/strong> factories. Since early 2025, such offensives into Salin Township<\/strong> have become increasingly frequent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a similar operation last month, a combined force from Light Infantry Division 101 based in Pakokku<\/strong>, Light Infantry Division 88 based in Magway<\/strong>, and Infantry Battalions 253, 254, and 255<\/strong> launched attacks into Salin Township<\/strong>, resulting in the execution of six civilians<\/strong> and the burning of over 400 homes<\/strong>, according to local civil society organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fierce fighting continues in the Min Kone battle area<\/strong>, Sagaing Region, where numerous soldiers from the junta\u2019s Military Division 33<\/strong> have been killed, and revolutionary forces have reportedly regained control over previously lost territories<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since June 5<\/strong>, junta forces\u2014numbering approximately 300 troops<\/strong>\u2014had launched offensives into the region, during which they torched Kan Village and Chaungma Gyi Village<\/strong>, and killed four civilians<\/strong>, including a senior Buddhist monk<\/strong> from a local monastery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite resistance from local revolutionary forces, they were forced to retreat due to insufficient ammunition<\/strong>, allowing the junta to establish a temporary encampment in Chaungma Gyi Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the morning of June 27<\/strong>, revolutionary forces regrouped and launched a counteroffensive<\/strong> against junta troops stationed in Chaungma Gyi Village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fighting intensified again on June 28<\/strong>, resulting in heavy casualties on the junta side<\/strong>, with four junta personnel captured alive<\/strong>, and a significant cache of weapons and ammunition seized<\/strong> by the resistance, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 29, 2025<\/strong>, the Matupi Revolutionary Organization (MRO)<\/strong> and the Chin Defense Force \u2013 Matupi (CDF-Matupi)<\/strong> issued a joint statement commemorating the one-year anniversary<\/strong> of the successful capture of the terrorist junta\u2019s Strategic Command Headquarters<\/strong>, along with Light Infantry Battalion 140<\/strong> and Infantry Battalion 304<\/strong>, in Matupi, Chin State<\/strong>, during Operation Chin Brothers \u2013 Matupi<\/strong>, which was launched on June 29, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement recognized the participation of Chin Brothers<\/strong>, Arakan Army (AA)<\/strong>, YAW Army<\/strong>, and the YAW Defense Force<\/strong>, expressing special gratitude from MRO\/CDF-Matupi for their joint efforts. It also honored the memory of the fallen revolutionary heroes and extended respect to the wounded fighters from that operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the MRO\/CDF-Matupi statement, since its founding, the organization\u2014with support from international allies\u2014has worked tirelessly to empower ground resistance forces<\/strong>. Following the capture of Matupi, they have continued efforts in rebuilding the town<\/strong>, mine clearance<\/strong>, resettlement of civilians<\/strong>, and provision of basic humanitarian needs<\/strong>, in collaboration with local and diaspora communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, MRO\/CDF-Matupi is actively working to strengthen the town\u2019s defense and security<\/strong>, continuing with reconstruction efforts and ensuring that the military junta does not reestablish control<\/strong> in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At approximately 2:33 PM on June 29<\/strong>, the military junta conducted an aerial bombing raid<\/strong> near the Kambawza Shan Monastery<\/strong> in Ward 1 of Kyaukme Town<\/strong>, injuring six civilians<\/strong>, according to local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victims include two women and four men<\/strong>, and the attack also damaged ten homes<\/strong> and parts of the monastery compound. Among the injured, one woman\u2019s condition is considered critical<\/strong>, reports say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a second wave of aerial assault at 8:58 PM<\/strong>, six additional bombs<\/strong> were dropped in the area, causing further destruction. The Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army (TNLA)<\/strong> stated that further investigation is ongoing to verify detailed information about casualties and the full extent of the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 40-year-old woman<\/strong> was killed when a military junta jet fighter<\/strong> bombed Letpanhla Village<\/strong>, specifically the Pyi Soe Aung Quarter<\/strong> in Sintgu Township<\/strong>, Mandalay Region<\/strong>, according to a statement from the Pyin Oo Lwin District People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airstrike occurred at 11:50 AM on June 29<\/strong>, reportedly carried out by a jet fighter from Tada-U Air Base<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the fatality, three residential buildings<\/strong> were destroyed in the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pyin Oo Lwin District PDF urged civilians to stay away from junta military installations<\/strong> and dig bomb shelters<\/strong> in anticipation of future airstrikes, to protect themselves and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
