Chin resistance forces have seized three military outposts<\/strong> stationed in Hmualpi village<\/strong>, Tedim Township<\/strong>, Chin State, resulting in the death of at least 15 junta soldiers<\/strong> and the capture of a significant cache of weapons and ammunition, according to reliable sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operation began on June 26<\/strong> and concluded with the successful capture of all three outposts by June 28<\/strong>. During the fighting, some junta troops were captured alive<\/strong>, and a large amount of weapons and ammunition<\/strong> was seized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The assault was led by the Chin National Army (CNA)<\/strong> and jointly carried out with PDF Zoland<\/strong> and CNDF (Chin National Defense Force)<\/strong> units. While at least 15 junta soldiers were killed<\/strong>, three members of the Chin resistance forces also fell in battle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Separately, between June 26 and 27<\/strong>, junta columns advancing into Chin State clashed with the CDF-CDM Siyin joint force<\/strong>, resulting in the death of one CDF fighter<\/strong>, while six junta troops were killed<\/strong> and three others captured alive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of now, the military situation around Hmualpi village remains tense<\/strong>, and over 3,000 civilians<\/strong> have been displaced due to the fighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. Junta Naval Convoy Ascends the Chindwin River and Arrives in Monywa<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A junta naval convoy that ascended the Chindwin River from Shin Phyu Shin Bridge<\/strong> in Sagaing City<\/strong> has now reached Monywa<\/strong>, according to resistance scout networks stationed along the Chindwin Riverbank villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the morning of June 28<\/strong>, a group consisting of one cargo ship<\/strong> and three military vessels<\/strong> arrived in Monywa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along the way, these vessels fired heavy artillery<\/strong> into riverside villages, and upon arrival in Monywa, two paramotors<\/strong> dropped cluster bombs<\/strong> from the air, launched from Namakhone base<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of the paramotor bombing, four male civilians<\/strong> from Tharyarkine village<\/strong> in Salingyi Township<\/strong> were killed<\/strong>, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. Two Resistance Fighters Killed in Moebye and Hpasawng Battles, from 1106 Battalion and KPLA-B 626<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two resistance fighters from the 1106 Battalion<\/strong> of the DMO<\/strong> (under the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government) and the Karenni People\u2019s Liberation Army \u2013 B 626<\/strong> were killed in recent clashes in Moebye<\/strong>, Southern Shan State, and Hpasawng<\/strong>, Karenni State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 27<\/strong>, in Moebye, Lieutenant John Newman Nene (aka Party)<\/strong> from the 1106 Battalion<\/strong>, operating under the Karenni Military Division of Southern Shan State<\/strong>, was killed in action<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, Sub-Lieutenant Robert Toe<\/strong>, from Section 3 of Battalion 626<\/strong> under the Central Command of the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF)<\/strong>, was killed in the June 27 battle in Hpasawng<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two fallen fighters have been honored as martyrs and national heroes<\/strong> who sacrificed their lives with dignity in the fight for federal democracy<\/strong> and freedom for the people<\/strong>. Official tributes have been issued in their memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 4. Two Civilian Homes Damaged by Junta Heavy Artillery in Kyaikhto<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Karen National Union (KNU)<\/strong> has reported that two civilian homes in Painne Kone Village<\/strong>, part of Pyinkadoe Konka Village Tract<\/strong> in Kyaikhto Township<\/strong>, Thaton District<\/strong>, located in Kawthoolei-administered territory<\/strong>, were damaged due to indiscriminate shelling<\/strong> by junta forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 9:49 a.m. on June 15<\/strong>, without any armed engagement in the area, the junta\u2019s Artillery Battalion No. 310<\/strong> fired four 120mm artillery shells<\/strong> toward the vicinity of Painne Kone village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, around 12 noon<\/strong>, the same battalion fired one more 120mm shell<\/strong> toward Zee Byaung Village<\/strong>, resulting in damage to another civilian house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, at 7:40 p.m. on June 26<\/strong>, Infantry Battalion No. 598<\/strong>, based in Zalote Gyi<\/strong>, launched two 81mm mortar shells<\/strong> at Winkon Village<\/strong>, hitting and damaging another civilian residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 5. Junta Burns Down Min Kone Village in Sagaing Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 27<\/strong>, following a surprise attack<\/strong> by resistance forces on junta troops stationed inside Min Kone Village<\/strong>, Sagaing Township<\/strong>, the junta forces retaliated by setting fire to large sections of the village<\/strong>, which comprises over 600 houses<\/strong>, according to local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since June 5<\/strong>, approximately 300 junta soldiers<\/strong> had launched a campaign to occupy the entire Min Kone operational area<\/strong>, setting fire to Kyin Village<\/strong> and Chaung Ma Gyi Village<\/strong>, and killing four civilians<\/strong>, including a respected village abbot. They had also garrisoned Chaung Ma Gyi<\/strong> and Ohnthazin villages<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Min Kone Village<\/strong> is home to culturally significant religious sites such as the Myothaintan Pagoda<\/strong>. The recent arson attack has damaged homes and buildings<\/strong> near these heritage sites. The current condition of the Min Kone Sayadaw Monastery<\/strong> remains unknown, according to one local resident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, at 11:44 a.m. on June 28<\/strong>, a Mi-35 helicopter<\/strong> conducted three airstrikes<\/strong> on the eastern part of Sagaing Township<\/strong>, it was reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/strong> in Taungtha Township<\/strong>, Myingyan District<\/strong>, under Mandalay Region<\/strong>, which operates under Military Region No. 1<\/strong> of the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government (NUG)<\/strong>, held its 8th weekly basic military training graduation ceremony<\/strong>, it was announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The graduation was held on June 19<\/strong> to honor the 80th birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi<\/strong>, leader of the democratic movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, the Burma Army<\/strong>, under the Command Headquarters of Military Region No. 1<\/strong>, also held a Basic Military Training (3\/2025) oath-taking and graduation ceremony<\/strong>, as shown in official photos released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/strong> in Nyaung U Kyi Township<\/strong> has returned four underage youths<\/strong> who had come forward to join the resistance, back to their parents and guardians<\/strong>, according to a statement by the NUG\u2019s Myingyan District PDF Command<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 20<\/strong>, the four boys<\/strong>, aged 15 and 17<\/strong>, from Nyaung U Kyi Township, had reached out via online communication expressing their interest in joining a resistance group. However, upon verification, it was found that all four were under the legal age for enlistment\u2014two aged 15 and two aged 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resistance group then contacted the Myingyan District PDF<\/strong>, which received the boys on June 26<\/strong> and returned them to their parents on June 27<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Myingyan District PDF stated that it is committed to operating in solidarity with the people<\/strong>, prioritizing the safety and protection of children and their families<\/strong>. The group further affirmed that it adheres to the Geneva Conventions<\/strong>, which prohibit the involvement of children in armed conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
