Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than has urged that the procedural rules and regulations governing the implementation of public administration mechanisms be thoroughly upheld and followed at every level of the administrative structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He made this statement during the 22nd coordination meeting of the Central Committee for Interim Local Public Administration Implementation under the National Unity Government (NUG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister stated:
\u201cIn the context of interim local public administration under the National Unity Government, the Sagaing Region stands out as a strong example, having successfully adopted and ratified its own interim constitutional framework through its local council. The fact that revolutionary organizations in Sagaing are now able to operate in unity is a major advantage for the revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is essential that the procedural rules and administrative guidelines be carefully observed at all levels. Everyone must diligently fulfill their responsibilities and ensure that all activities are carried out with the interests of the people as the foremost priority. Inter-ministerial coordination must also be effectively maintained,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was chaired by Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than and attended by Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Associate Secretaries, and departmental officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At a high-level open debate held under the theme \u201cChildren and Armed Conflict\u201d at the UN Security Council headquarters in New York, U Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar\u2019s Ambassador to the United Nations, stated that grave violations committed against children by the military have risen by 25% compared to the previous year, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He explained that since the military coup in February 2021, grave violations against children have significantly escalated. He made it clear to attendees that the primary perpetrator of these violations is the military junta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun noted that children in Myanmar are not only being deprived of basic rights such as education and healthcare, but are also disproportionately suffering from the brutal and inhumane acts committed by the military, which is evident and undeniable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that the National Unity Government (NUG) has prioritized this issue and is actively working to end these grave violations and to improve and safeguard the rights of children. To this end, he said the NUG continues to call for greater collaboration with relevant UN agencies and international partner organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He urged the Security Council to take concrete and timely action to prevent the loss of children\u2019s lives and protect their future from being destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, he appealed to the Security Council and the international community to ensure that the people of Myanmar\u2014especially its children\u2014do not have their trust and hopes in the UN and the international system betrayed once again, stressing the need for urgent and decisive action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been reported that U Aung Kyaw Oo, Speaker of the Mandalay Region Hluttaw (Parliament), passed away this morning at Obo Prison Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A close associate from the National League for Democracy (NLD) party confirmed,
\u201cU Aung Kyaw Oo, Speaker of the Mandalay Region Hluttaw, passed away this morning at Obo Prison Hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the military\u2019s seizure of power in February 2021, U Aung Kyaw Oo was among the senior officials arbitrarily arrested by the junta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the NLD party, the military regime has unlawfully detained a total of 18,434 individuals<\/strong>, among whom are 145 NLD Members of Parliament<\/strong> and 2,496 NLD party members<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
