He made the remarks in a discussion session with revolutionary forces, responding to veteran journalist U Khine Maung Soe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEvery time we take control of a town, we end up having to arrest some non-CDM personnel. You all know that we actually don\u2019t want to arrest them. We are calling on non-CDM individuals to come into the light. We\u2019re still calling them. At any time, they are welcome to come out into the light. At any time, they are welcome to join the people\u2019s side. If they don\u2019t like the term \u2018come into the light,\u2019 they can consider it as \u2018switching to the people\u2019s side.\u2019 The category of non-CDM personnel who transition to the people\u2019s side is already addressed in our legal framework. Not all non-CDM personnel will face legal action. They are not being punished. France\u2019s assistance in rescue and recovery efforts has now reached affected communities through direct distribution by the World Food Programme (WFP) and partner organizations. At present, the WFP and its partners have provided aid to 400,000 people in Sagaing, Mandalay, Southern Shan State, and Naypyidaw as part of the first phase of the earthquake response operations.
