Three Junta Soldiers Killed in Sniper Attack While Returning from Shopping<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 22<\/strong><br><em>Radio NUG<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the&nbsp;<em>Zero Panther People\u2019s Defense Force \u2013 Myingyan<\/em>, three junta soldiers were killed in a sniper attack in&nbsp;<strong>Nganzun Township, Myingyan District, Mandalay Region<\/strong>, as they were returning from a shopping trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack occurred early in the morning on&nbsp;<strong>June 20<\/strong>, when around 20 junta troops, who had left&nbsp;<strong>Min Ne Kone police station<\/strong>&nbsp;for shopping in&nbsp;<strong>Kaung Sin village<\/strong>, were ambushed on their return route by snipers lying in wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the sniper attack, a brief clash ensued, and junta troops from Min Ne Kone station also fired back with heavy weapons. However, resistance forces were able to retreat without sustaining casualties, sources report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sniper ambush successfully inflicted casualties because of the preemptive positioning, with&nbsp;<strong>three junta soldiers reportedly killed on the spot<\/strong>. The soldier was&nbsp;<strong>arrested while buying betel quid<\/strong>, the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The operation was led by&nbsp;<strong>female PDF officers from the Taungtha Township People&#8217;s Defense Force<\/strong>, who executed the arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The soldier has been identified as&nbsp;<strong>Warrant Officer Aung Win Ko<\/strong>&nbsp;from the&nbsp;<strong>Myittha-based No. (1) Military Heavy Industry<\/strong>. Authorities seized&nbsp;<strong>one MA-1 rifle<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>250 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition<\/strong>&nbsp;during the arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>3. Father and Daughter Killed in Junta Airstrike in Myingyan Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 22<\/strong><br><em>Radio NUG<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A junta aerial bombardment on&nbsp;<strong>Ma Yoe Kone village, Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region<\/strong>, killed a father and daughter and injured&nbsp;<strong>nine civilians<\/strong>, according to local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At approximately&nbsp;<strong>1:30 a.m. on June 22<\/strong>, a junta&nbsp;<strong>fighter jet<\/strong>&nbsp;dropped&nbsp;<strong>three bombs<\/strong>. The first two exploded near&nbsp;<strong>Ywar Shay village<\/strong>, which had already been burned down by junta forces and was uninhabited at the time. The&nbsp;<strong>third bomb directly hit Ma Yoe Kone village<\/strong>, resulting in civilian casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deceased have been identified as&nbsp;<strong>U Pa Nyain<\/strong>, aged 80, and his daughter&nbsp;<strong>Daw Khin Moe Swe<\/strong>, aged 40.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition,&nbsp;<strong>nine villagers sustained injuries<\/strong>, with&nbsp;<strong>two in critical condition<\/strong>.&nbsp;<strong>Five houses were damaged<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>two cattle<\/strong>&nbsp;were killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As there were no active clashes in the area, resistance groups condemned the attack as a&nbsp;<strong>deliberate aerial assault on civilians<\/strong>. It was attended by the&nbsp;<strong>District Commander of Mawlaik<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>District Secretary<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Commander and Deputy Commander of Battalion (1)<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>intelligence officers<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>training instructors<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Pa-Ah-Pha (People\u2019s Administration Body) leader and officer in Phaungpyin Township<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>local Pa-Ka-Fa (People\u2019s Defense Force) leader<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>township communication officer<\/strong>, a&nbsp;<strong>Southern Coordination Unit representative<\/strong>, representatives from&nbsp;<strong>Military Sub-Districts 1 to 4<\/strong>, families of fallen resistance fighters,&nbsp;<strong>village-level administrative officers<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>PDF unit commanders<\/strong>, revolutionary civilians, and&nbsp;<strong>logistics supporters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his speech, the District Commander expressed sincere gratitude for the support and donations from revolutionary civilians in fulfilling the essential needs of frontline battalions.
