Over 30 Junta Troops Killed in Ambush on Reinforcement Column Bound for Aung Zeya Frontline in Kyainseikgyi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 21<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;<strong>Kyainseikgyi Township<\/strong>, Karen State, a reinforcement military column heading to support the&nbsp;<strong>Aung Zeya frontline<\/strong>&nbsp;was ambushed, resulting in&nbsp;<strong>at least 30 junta troops killed<\/strong>, according to a statement from the&nbsp;<strong>Mon Liberation Army (MLA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ambush occurred on&nbsp;<strong>June 19<\/strong>, targeting a joint column from&nbsp;<strong>Military Operations Commands (MOC) 44 and 55<\/strong>, which was en route to reinforce junta troops. The attack was carried out jointly by the&nbsp;<strong>Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA)<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Revolutionary Mon Army (RMA)<\/strong>, and allied forces. The battle reportedly lasted for&nbsp;<strong>over seven hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the clash, around&nbsp;<strong>10 officers<\/strong>, including a&nbsp;<strong>battalion commander and a deputy commander<\/strong>, were injured. More than&nbsp;<strong>30 junta troops<\/strong>&nbsp;were reportedly killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After securing the area, resistance forces seized a variety of military equipment including&nbsp;<strong>MA1, MA2 rifles, RPGs, 60mm commando mortars, RPG shells, assorted bullets, ammunition belts<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>military helmets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As junta forces continue their advance toward Kyainseikgyi, residents in surrounding villages have been urged to remain cautious and restrict movement for their safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. Around 40 Junta Troops Killed in Clashes Near Myosoe Bridge in Sittaung River Crossing, Thanatpin Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 21<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clashes occurred near&nbsp;<strong>Myosoe Bridge<\/strong>, which spans the&nbsp;<strong>Sittaung River<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Thanatpin Township<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Taungoo District<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Bago Region<\/strong>, between junta columns and resistance forces. The engagements reportedly resulted in the deaths of approximately&nbsp;<strong>40 junta soldiers<\/strong>, according to the local&nbsp;<strong>People\u2019s Defense Forces (PaKaPha)<\/strong>&nbsp;in Oat Twin Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The junta deployed three separate military columns\u2014one from&nbsp;<strong>Kywepwe Town in Oat Twin Township<\/strong>&nbsp;toward&nbsp;<strong>Koe Taing Village<\/strong>, one from&nbsp;<strong>Thanatpin Bridge<\/strong>&nbsp;toward&nbsp;<strong>Koe Taing Village<\/strong>, and one from&nbsp;<strong>Zayat Gyi Town<\/strong>&nbsp;toward&nbsp;<strong>Yay Kyi Kone Village<\/strong>&nbsp;in Thanatpin Township. The total estimated strength of the junta columns was around&nbsp;<strong>280 troops<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From&nbsp;<strong>June 12 to 17<\/strong>, fierce clashes broke out between these junta forces and resistance forces, including&nbsp;<strong>PDF Southern Command District 2<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Joint Strategy Group 23<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Battalion 3502<\/strong>, PaKaPha units from Oat Twin and Taungoo Townships,&nbsp;<strong>Yonathan Drone Force<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Delta One Drone Force<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to drone footage and on-ground reports, over&nbsp;<strong>40 junta troops<\/strong>&nbsp;were killed during the five days of fighting. Five resistance fighters from Joint Strategy Group 23 were also injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>3. At Least 3 Junta Troops Killed and 2 Captured Alive During Clashes in Salin Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 21<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;<strong>Salin Township<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Minbu District<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Magway Region<\/strong>, at least&nbsp;<strong>three junta soldiers<\/strong>&nbsp;were killed and&nbsp;<strong>two captured alive<\/strong>&nbsp;during recent clashes, according to a statement from the&nbsp;<strong>Peacock Brother Urban Guerrilla Group<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>June 14 and 15<\/strong>, a junta convoy of over&nbsp;<strong>200 troops and four trucks<\/strong>&nbsp;advanced from the&nbsp;<strong>Pathein-Monywa highway<\/strong>&nbsp;near&nbsp;<strong>Kanpya Village<\/strong>. The resistance forces launched an ambush, forcing the column to retreat back toward Kanpya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ambush was executed using&nbsp;<strong>five landmines<\/strong>&nbsp;planted by the&nbsp;<strong>Daung Nyi Naung Urban Guerrilla Force<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Minbu District Battalion 5<\/strong>, resulting in the deaths of&nbsp;<strong>three junta troops<\/strong>, including a&nbsp;<strong>Warrant Officer<\/strong>, and injuries to&nbsp;<strong>eight others<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>June 16<\/strong>, the junta troops reentered via a forest route toward&nbsp;<strong>Khinpaluu Village<\/strong>, but were once again repelled by resistance forces. On&nbsp;<strong>June 17<\/strong>, they launched another incursion toward&nbsp;<strong>Pate Hsi Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A half-hour-long firefight ensued in&nbsp;<strong>Pate Hsi Village<\/strong>, after which the junta forces&nbsp;<strong>retreated<\/strong>, reportedly&nbsp;<strong>burning down civilian homes<\/strong>&nbsp;in the village during their withdrawal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Across the five days of fighting,&nbsp;<strong>two junta soldiers were captured alive<\/strong>, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The operations were jointly carried out by the&nbsp;<strong>Daung Nyi Naung Urban Guerrilla Force<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Minbu District Battalion 5<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Battalion 5 Drone Unit<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Salin PaKaPha<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Minbu District Battalions 1 and 5<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Daung Sit Aung LPDF<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>SLN LPDF<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Bamar Army<\/strong>, and the&nbsp;<strong>Southern Poketaung Medical Unit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>4. Female Teacher Killed, Children Injured in Airstrike on School in Pinlebu Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 21<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A junta airstrike targeted a school in&nbsp;<strong>Inga Village<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Pinlebu Township<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Sagaing Region<\/strong>, killing&nbsp;<strong>one female teacher<\/strong>&nbsp;and injuring multiple civilians, including children, according to local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At around&nbsp;<strong>4:00 PM<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>June 20<\/strong>, a&nbsp;<strong>fighter jet<\/strong>&nbsp;from the&nbsp;<strong>Tatmadaw (junta military)<\/strong>, reportedly based at&nbsp;<strong>Tada-U Airbase in Mandalay<\/strong>, dropped&nbsp;<strong>two bombs<\/strong>&nbsp;on the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bombs, each weighing approximately&nbsp;<strong>500 pounds<\/strong>, struck the school compound, damaging&nbsp;<strong>staff quarters<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>classrooms<\/strong>, and nearby civilian homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;A female teacher was killed on the spot. Among the injured are around&nbsp;<strong>10 children<\/strong>, including a&nbsp;<strong>4-year-old<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>two of the children are in critical condition<\/strong>, with their lives at risk,\u201d said a spokesperson from the&nbsp;<strong>Pinlebu Township People&#8217;s Defense Group<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pinlebu Township has been under the control of&nbsp;<strong>People\u2019s Defense Forces (PDFs)<\/strong>&nbsp;and allied revolutionary forces operating under the&nbsp;<strong>National Unity Government (NUG)<\/strong>&nbsp;since&nbsp;<strong>October 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>5. Civilian Injured in Junta Airstrike on Forest Office Compound in Letpanhla Village, Singu Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 21<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At approximately&nbsp;<strong>5:30 PM<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>June 20<\/strong>, the junta military conducted an airstrike on the&nbsp;<strong>forest department compound<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Letpanhla Village<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Singu Township<\/strong>, injuring&nbsp;<strong>one civilian<\/strong>&nbsp;in the leg and destroying&nbsp;<strong>two buildings<\/strong>, according to&nbsp;<strong>PaKaPha (People\u2019s Defense Force) in Pyin Oo Lwin District<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The junta has been carrying out continuous airstrikes on&nbsp;<strong>Madaya<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Singu<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Thabeikkyin Townships<\/strong>. On&nbsp;<strong>June 18 alone<\/strong>, over&nbsp;<strong>60 bombs<\/strong>&nbsp;were reportedly dropped on the&nbsp;<strong>eastern part of Madaya Township<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to this military advance, intense clashes have erupted in the area between&nbsp;<strong>junta troops<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>resistance forces<\/strong>, including&nbsp;<strong>Mandalay PDF<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>6. Two Young Conscripts in Myeik Surrender with Weapons<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 21<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two junta soldiers from&nbsp;<strong>Battalion 17 (Infantry), based in Bokpyin<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Myeik District<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Tanintharyi Region<\/strong>, have defected and surrendered with weapons, according to&nbsp;<strong>Myeik District Battalion 1 \u2013 P23401<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>June 21<\/strong>, a&nbsp;<strong>chief clerk sergeant<\/strong>&nbsp;and a&nbsp;<strong>corporal<\/strong>&nbsp;from Battalion 17 surrendered to&nbsp;<strong>Myeik District Battalion 1<\/strong>, operating in&nbsp;<strong>Zone 35<\/strong>, along with a cache of weapons and ammunition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The items surrendered include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>One MA-1 rifle<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>One MA-2 submachine gun<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Two hand grenades<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>One M14 landmine<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>15 magazines<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>790 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The two defectors had been&nbsp;<strong>forcibly conscripted<\/strong>&nbsp;during&nbsp;<strong>Basic Military Training Batch 2 for the People\u2019s Army<\/strong>, and were assigned to Battalion 17 under duress, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are now being&nbsp;<strong>safely sheltered and protected<\/strong>, and necessary assistance is being provided, Myeik District Battalion 1 stated.
