\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 1. Over 30 Junta Troops Killed in Ambush on Reinforcement Column Bound for Aung Zeya Frontline in Kyainseikgyi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Kyainseikgyi Township<\/strong>, Karen State, a reinforcement military column heading to support the Aung Zeya frontline<\/strong> was ambushed, resulting in at least 30 junta troops killed<\/strong>, according to a statement from the Mon Liberation Army (MLA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ambush occurred on June 19<\/strong>, targeting a joint column from Military Operations Commands (MOC) 44 and 55<\/strong>, which was en route to reinforce junta troops. The attack was carried out jointly by the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA)<\/strong>, the Revolutionary Mon Army (RMA)<\/strong>, and allied forces. The battle reportedly lasted for over seven hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the clash, around 10 officers<\/strong>, including a battalion commander and a deputy commander<\/strong>, were injured. More than 30 junta troops<\/strong> were reportedly killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After securing the area, resistance forces seized a variety of military equipment including MA1, MA2 rifles, RPGs, 60mm commando mortars, RPG shells, assorted bullets, ammunition belts<\/strong>, and military helmets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As junta forces continue their advance toward Kyainseikgyi, residents in surrounding villages have been urged to remain cautious and restrict movement for their safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. Around 40 Junta Troops Killed in Clashes Near Myosoe Bridge in Sittaung River Crossing, Thanatpin Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clashes occurred near Myosoe Bridge<\/strong>, which spans the Sittaung River<\/strong> in Thanatpin Township<\/strong>, Taungoo District<\/strong>, Bago Region<\/strong>, between junta columns and resistance forces. The engagements reportedly resulted in the deaths of approximately 40 junta soldiers<\/strong>, according to the local People\u2019s Defense Forces (PaKaPha)<\/strong> in Oat Twin Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta deployed three separate military columns\u2014one from Kywepwe Town in Oat Twin Township<\/strong> toward Koe Taing Village<\/strong>, one from Thanatpin Bridge<\/strong> toward Koe Taing Village<\/strong>, and one from Zayat Gyi Town<\/strong> toward Yay Kyi Kone Village<\/strong> in Thanatpin Township. The total estimated strength of the junta columns was around 280 troops<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From June 12 to 17<\/strong>, fierce clashes broke out between these junta forces and resistance forces, including PDF Southern Command District 2<\/strong>, Joint Strategy Group 23<\/strong>, Battalion 3502<\/strong>, PaKaPha units from Oat Twin and Taungoo Townships, Yonathan Drone Force<\/strong>, and Delta One Drone Force<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to drone footage and on-ground reports, over 40 junta troops<\/strong> were killed during the five days of fighting. Five resistance fighters from Joint Strategy Group 23 were also injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Salin Township<\/strong>, Minbu District<\/strong>, Magway Region<\/strong>, at least three junta soldiers<\/strong> were killed and two captured alive<\/strong> during recent clashes, according to a statement from the Peacock Brother Urban Guerrilla Group<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 14 and 15<\/strong>, a junta convoy of over 200 troops and four trucks<\/strong> advanced from the Pathein-Monywa highway<\/strong> near Kanpya Village<\/strong>. The resistance forces launched an ambush, forcing the column to retreat back toward Kanpya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ambush was executed using five landmines<\/strong> planted by the Daung Nyi Naung Urban Guerrilla Force<\/strong> and Minbu District Battalion 5<\/strong>, resulting in the deaths of three junta troops<\/strong>, including a Warrant Officer<\/strong>, and injuries to eight others<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 16<\/strong>, the junta troops reentered via a forest route toward Khinpaluu Village<\/strong>, but were once again repelled by resistance forces. On June 17<\/strong>, they launched another incursion toward Pate Hsi Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A half-hour-long firefight ensued in Pate Hsi Village<\/strong>, after which the junta forces retreated<\/strong>, reportedly burning down civilian homes<\/strong> in the village during their withdrawal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Across the five days of fighting, two junta soldiers were captured alive<\/strong>, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operations were jointly carried out by the Daung Nyi Naung Urban Guerrilla Force<\/strong>, Minbu District Battalion 5<\/strong>, Battalion 5 Drone Unit<\/strong>, Salin PaKaPha<\/strong>, Minbu District Battalions 1 and 5<\/strong>, Daung Sit Aung LPDF<\/strong>, SLN LPDF<\/strong>, Bamar Army<\/strong>, and the Southern Poketaung Medical Unit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A junta airstrike targeted a school in Inga Village<\/strong>, Pinlebu Township<\/strong>, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, killing one female teacher<\/strong> and injuring multiple civilians, including children, according to local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At around 4:00 PM<\/strong> on June 20<\/strong>, a fighter jet<\/strong> from the Tatmadaw (junta military)<\/strong>, reportedly based at Tada-U Airbase in Mandalay<\/strong>, dropped two bombs<\/strong> on the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bombs, each weighing approximately 500 pounds<\/strong>, struck the school compound, damaging staff quarters<\/strong>, classrooms<\/strong>, and nearby civilian homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A female teacher was killed on the spot. Among the injured are around 10 children<\/strong>, including a 4-year-old<\/strong>, and two of the children are in critical condition<\/strong>, with their lives at risk,\u201d said a spokesperson from the Pinlebu Township People’s Defense Group<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pinlebu Township has been under the control of People\u2019s Defense Forces (PDFs)<\/strong> and allied revolutionary forces operating under the National Unity Government (NUG)<\/strong> since October 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At approximately 5:30 PM<\/strong> on June 20<\/strong>, the junta military conducted an airstrike on the forest department compound<\/strong> in Letpanhla Village<\/strong>, Singu Township<\/strong>, injuring one civilian<\/strong> in the leg and destroying two buildings<\/strong>, according to PaKaPha (People\u2019s Defense Force) in Pyin Oo Lwin District<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta has been carrying out continuous airstrikes on Madaya<\/strong>, Singu<\/strong>, and Thabeikkyin Townships<\/strong>. On June 18 alone<\/strong>, over 60 bombs<\/strong> were reportedly dropped on the eastern part of Madaya Township<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to this military advance, intense clashes have erupted in the area between junta troops<\/strong> and resistance forces<\/strong>, including Mandalay PDF<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two junta soldiers from Battalion 17 (Infantry), based in Bokpyin<\/strong>, Myeik District<\/strong>, Tanintharyi Region<\/strong>, have defected and surrendered with weapons, according to Myeik District Battalion 1 \u2013 P23401<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 21<\/strong>, a chief clerk sergeant<\/strong> and a corporal<\/strong> from Battalion 17 surrendered to Myeik District Battalion 1<\/strong>, operating in Zone 35<\/strong>, along with a cache of weapons and ammunition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
