Junta Soldiers Abandon Nga Yant Ni Outpost on the Thai\u2013Myanmar Border and Flee into Thailand<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 13<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>June 12<\/strong>, junta troops stationed at the&nbsp;<strong>Nga Yant Ni outpost<\/strong>, located in&nbsp;<strong>Dawei District<\/strong>&nbsp;along the&nbsp;<strong>Thai\u2013Myanmar border<\/strong>, reportedly&nbsp;<strong>abandoned their post and fled<\/strong>, according to the administrative officer of&nbsp;<strong>Military Region 4 (Myeik\u2013Dawei District)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The outpost was manned by around&nbsp;<strong>20 junta soldiers<\/strong>, and it was noted that there had been&nbsp;<strong>aerial surveillance or operations<\/strong>&nbsp;prior to their departure. The troops are said to have&nbsp;<strong>crossed over into Thailand<\/strong>&nbsp;after fleeing their post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the retreat, the&nbsp;<strong>Kawthoolei Army<\/strong>&nbsp;approached and entered the outpost, where they reportedly&nbsp;<strong>seized several artillery shells<\/strong>&nbsp;during a clearance operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nga Yant Ni was one of the&nbsp;<strong>smaller outposts<\/strong>&nbsp;along the Thai\u2013Myanmar border, and&nbsp;<strong>only one other small outpost remains<\/strong>&nbsp;in the vicinity, according to local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. Two Returning Military Transport Boats Attacked After Deploying Junta Troops to Thayetchaung<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 13<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;<strong>Tanintharyi Region<\/strong>, two military boats that had transported&nbsp;<strong>junta frontline troops<\/strong>&nbsp;from&nbsp;<strong>Dawei<\/strong>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<strong>Thayetchaung<\/strong>&nbsp;were attacked on their return journey, according to the&nbsp;<strong>Dawei Youth Armed Force (DYAF)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident occurred on&nbsp;<strong>June 10<\/strong>, around&nbsp;<strong>12:00 noon<\/strong>, at a location along the&nbsp;<strong>Dawei River<\/strong>, where&nbsp;<strong>two junta boats carrying approximately 80 personnel<\/strong>&nbsp;were ambushed&nbsp;<strong>twice<\/strong>&nbsp;using&nbsp;<strong>sniper fire and other light weapons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the attack,&nbsp;<strong>two junta soldiers were killed<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>three others were injured<\/strong>, according to field reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The operation was jointly carried out by the&nbsp;<strong>Dawei Youth Armed Force \u2013 DYAF<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Battalion 12, Company 1<\/strong>&nbsp;of the&nbsp;<strong>Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>5. Junta Troops from Nat Yekan Strategic Hill Outpost Captured by CDF-Asho<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 13<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A unit of&nbsp;<strong>junta soldiers<\/strong>&nbsp;stationed at the&nbsp;<strong>Nat Yekan Strategic Hill Air Defense Base<\/strong>&nbsp;was captured by the&nbsp;<strong>Chin Defense Force \u2013 Asho (CDF-Asho)<\/strong>, the group announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between&nbsp;<strong>June 8 and June 12<\/strong>, CDF-Asho forces conducted operations targeting the&nbsp;<strong>old road near Nat Yekan<\/strong>, approximately&nbsp;<strong>1,500 meters<\/strong>&nbsp;from the&nbsp;<strong>Bue Htar Hill<\/strong>&nbsp;base, during which&nbsp;<strong>23 junta soldiers<\/strong>&nbsp;were successfully captured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the&nbsp;<strong>five-day territory clearance and interception operation<\/strong>, resistance forces also seized the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>5 MA-1 rifles<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>3 MA-3 rifles<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and an unspecified quantity of\u00a0<strong>ammunition<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the CDF-Asho, the captured soldiers were&nbsp;<strong>forcibly conscripted<\/strong>&nbsp;under the junta\u2019s military conscription law and had been&nbsp;<strong>abducted against their will<\/strong>&nbsp;into military service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>6. Six Civilians, Including Two Children, Killed by Junta Artillery Strike Near a Funeral House in Kawkareik<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 13<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;<strong>Kawkareik Township<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Kayin State<\/strong>, a junta artillery shell reportedly struck near a&nbsp;<strong>funeral house<\/strong>, killing&nbsp;<strong>six civilians<\/strong>, including&nbsp;<strong>two children<\/strong>&nbsp;from the same family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident occurred around&nbsp;<strong>6:00 PM<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>June 12<\/strong>, when junta forces from&nbsp;<strong>Infantry Battalion 545<\/strong>, based in&nbsp;<strong>Kyainseikgyi<\/strong>, and stationed troops at the&nbsp;<strong>Zine Bridge<\/strong>&nbsp;launched artillery attacks. One of the shells exploded near a funeral house in&nbsp;<strong>Kawkabo Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the dead were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ma Ei Ndra Moe<\/strong>, 5 years old<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Maung Win Win Kyaw<\/strong>, 10 years old<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Daw Tu Tu<\/strong>, 37 years old<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>U Sein Thaung Lay<\/strong>, 41 years old<br>(All from the same family)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And\u00a0<strong>U Lin Kone<\/strong>, 45 years old<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In a separate incident at&nbsp;<strong>4:25 PM<\/strong>&nbsp;the same day, another artillery shell reportedly exploded in&nbsp;<strong>North Kammaryet Village<\/strong>, also in&nbsp;<strong>Kawkareik Township<\/strong>, killing&nbsp;<strong>U Myint Aung<\/strong>, aged 59, according to a statement from the&nbsp;<strong>Mon Liberation Army<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>7.
