One Monk Killed and Four Civilians Injured in Junta Airstrike on Monastery in Kyatyoepin Village, Thabeikkyin Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A junta airstrike targeted the Buddhist monastery in Kyatyoepin Village, located in Thabeikkyin Township of Mandalay Region, resulting in the death of a monk and injuries to four civilians, according to a statement by the People\u2019s Defense Team of Pyin Oo Lwin District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The air attack took place at around&nbsp;<strong>5:17 p.m. on June 5<\/strong>, when a fighter jet, reportedly coming from Tada-U air base, conducted an aerial assault on the monastery in Kyatyoepin Village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the bombing,&nbsp;<strong>one monk was killed<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>four civilians \u2014 three men and one woman \u2014 were injured<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this month, on the&nbsp;<strong>morning of June 1<\/strong>, a junta jet fighter also dropped a&nbsp;<strong>500-pound bomb<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>Kanta Primary School<\/strong>, located within Thabeikkyin Township, destroying&nbsp;<strong>two school buildings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the junta\u2019s continued deliberate attacks targeting civilians, the People\u2019s Defense Team of Pyin Oo Lwin District, together with allied revolutionary forces, has urged the public to&nbsp;<strong>relocate away from junta military installations<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>dig protective trenches or shelters<\/strong>&nbsp;to defend against potential airstrikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9<strong>&nbsp;2. Four Civilians Injured and Two Homes Destroyed in Junta Artillery Shelling on Nawnghkio Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The TNLA\/PSLF Information Department reports that ongoing artillery shelling by the military junta \u2014 despite an agreed extension of the ceasefire \u2014 has resulted in&nbsp;<strong>four civilian injuries<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>destruction of two homes<\/strong>, and damage to a&nbsp;<strong>monastery<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Nawnghkio Township<\/strong>, northern Shan State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>June 4<\/strong>, junta troops fired heavy artillery shells into the&nbsp;<strong>market area of Nawnghkio town<\/strong>, wounding&nbsp;<strong>two men and two women<\/strong>, and damaging&nbsp;<strong>two residential homes<\/strong>&nbsp;as well as the&nbsp;<strong>Kambawza Monastery<\/strong>, which was struck directly by artillery fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, at around&nbsp;<strong>9 a.m. on June 3<\/strong>, junta forces launched&nbsp;<strong>six bombs via drone<\/strong>&nbsp;from&nbsp;<strong>Yayphyu Village<\/strong>&nbsp;toward&nbsp;<strong>Gankaw Village<\/strong>. Later that same day, at approximately&nbsp;<strong>4 p.m.<\/strong>, a drone attack was again carried out on&nbsp;<strong>Kan Gyi Village<\/strong>, also within Nawnghkio Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the&nbsp;<strong>Brotherhood Alliance<\/strong>&nbsp;had announced on&nbsp;<strong>June 2<\/strong>&nbsp;a&nbsp;<strong>one-month ceasefire extension<\/strong>&nbsp;aimed at supporting humanitarian efforts for earthquake-affected civilians, the junta has instead used the opportunity to escalate military aggression, continuing bombing campaigns on Nawnghkio Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In light of the continued attacks, the&nbsp;<strong>TNLA<\/strong>&nbsp;has called on the public to&nbsp;<strong>maintain constant awareness of the military situation<\/strong>, and to take necessary precautions against airstrikes, including following safety protocols and constructing protective shelters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9<strong>&nbsp;3. Matupi\u2013Mintat Road Closed Until June 15 Due to Repair Work, Announces CDF\u2013Matupi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Chin Defense Force \u2013 Matupi (CDF\u2013Matupi)<\/strong>, under the Matupi Revolutionary Organization (MRO), has issued a public notice that&nbsp;<strong>travel along the Matupi\u2013Mintat Road will be entirely suspended from June 6 to June 15<\/strong>&nbsp;due to ongoing repair works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Matupi\u2013Mintat Road<\/strong>, a vital transport route for residents of Matupi Township in southern Chin State, was severely damaged at&nbsp;<strong>Mile Post 91<\/strong>, prompting MRO\/CDF\u2013Matupi to initiate repair operations starting&nbsp;<strong>May 22<\/strong>.
