The ceremony was led by Battalion Secretary&nbsp;<strong>Zhang Wang<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ceremony began with a briefing from the battalion commander summarizing the&nbsp;<strong>34-day training program<\/strong>. Underground Guerrilla Unit Eliminates Officer Who Threw Grenades at Oakpho Resistance Fighters<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 2<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Tharyarwaddy District, Battalion 3802, Unit 4, an officer under the command of the military council who had launched hand grenade attacks against the Underground Guerrilla Force &#8211; Oakpho Resistance Fighters, was eliminated in a retaliatory strike at the scene, according to an official statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officer, Aung Moe Khaing, had been stationed at the Oakpho-based Column 6 of the military junta\u2019s army in Paungtalone Village. On&nbsp;<strong>June 1 at around 6:15 p.m.<\/strong>, he reportedly threw hand grenades at members of the People&#8217;s Defense Forces (PDF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The resistance fighters were able to evade the grenade attack in time and immediately responded by shooting Aung Moe Khaing three times in the head, resulting in his instant death on the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident took place on the road between Chaungkhwa (K) Village and Tharyat Nhit Phyar Lain Village. A hand grenade was also seized from the officer following the engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aung Moe Khaing was a former military serviceman and a loyal informant for the junta. He was known for gathering intelligence on revolutionary forces, extorting money from civilians under the guise of conscription fees, abducting young people for forced recruitment, and guiding junta columns during military operations in the Yoma region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>5. Ambush on Two Pyusawhti Vehicles Headed to Sin Min Village, Pakokku\u2014Leader Kyaw Soe Naing Among Four Killed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 2<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At around&nbsp;<strong>8:00 a.m. on June 1<\/strong>, members of the People&#8217;s Defense Force (PDF) launched an ambush on two vehicles transporting eight Pyusawhti militia members\u2014including their leader, Kyaw Soe Naing\u2014who were en route to relieve duty at the gate checkpoint of Sin Min Village from Pakokku Town. The attack was confirmed by the Pakokku Township People&#8217;s Defense Organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The firefight lasted approximately&nbsp;<strong>45 minutes<\/strong>, during which&nbsp;<strong>four Pyusawhti members were killed<\/strong>&nbsp;and the remaining four fled the scene. Weapons and assets seized included one MA-3 rifle, one pistol, various ammunition, and&nbsp;<strong>3.1 million MMK<\/strong>&nbsp;in cash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to locals from Pakokku, Pyusawhti leader&nbsp;<strong>Kyaw Soe Naing<\/strong>\u2014a resident of Ward No. 2 on Naypyidaw Road\u2014was among the deceased. His funeral was reportedly held at&nbsp;<strong>9:00 a.m. on June 2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The operation was jointly carried out by the Pakokku Township PDF, Pakokku District Battalion 16, and the Bo Kalay Joint Force. Abbot of Sithsamepin Monastery in Thayetchaung Killed by Artillery Fired by Military Junta<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 2<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>June 1 at around 1:30 p.m.<\/strong>, intense fighting broke out between the junta forces and revolutionary joint forces near Shwe Gu Bridge in the area of Shin Motthee Village, Dawei Township. The skirmish led to the junta\u2019s indiscriminate artillery shelling across the Shin Motthee village tract for the entire day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By&nbsp;<strong>around 3:00 p.m.<\/strong>, junta troops stationed at the Department of Border and Ethnic Affairs Office in Dawei Town, responsible for overseeing development efforts in border and ethnic regions, fired over&nbsp;<strong>100 rounds of heavy artillery<\/strong>&nbsp;into nearby areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The shelling hit&nbsp;<strong>Sithsamepin Monastery<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Sawwa Village<\/strong>, killing&nbsp;<strong>Chief Abbot Bhaddanta Indobhasa<\/strong>, aged&nbsp;<strong>66<\/strong>, with&nbsp;<strong>46 vassas<\/strong>&nbsp;(monastic years), after he was struck directly by artillery shrapnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A monk disciple of the abbot recounted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs fighting broke out in the village, residents fled to the monastery seeking shelter. The abbot gave them words of encouragement, as people no longer felt safe staying in the village. Just as the abbot stepped out of his residence after encouraging the villagers, he was struck directly in the head by an artillery shell and died instantly. Part of his brain was completely destroyed. The shell hit at around 3:30 p.m., right inside the monastery compound.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>7. SAC Airstrikes on Two Villages in Singu Township Injure Three Women<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 2<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On June 1, 2025, at 2:26 p.m., the military junta launched an airstrike using a fighter jet on Nway Yone Village in Singu Township, according to a press release from the People&#8217;s Defense Organization (Pa Ka Pha) of Pyin Oo Lwin District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack reportedly destroyed two structures, but there were no civilian casualties in that incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, at 2:32 p.m. on the same day, an airstrike was carried out on the&nbsp;<em>Lucky 7 Hotel<\/em>&nbsp;located in Nat Taung Village, also in Singu Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of this second strike, three female civilians were injured, including one who sustained serious injuries, according to the announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>8.
