According to the PNLA, a video has surfaced showing the execution of four out of five PNLA soldiers who had been captured by the Military Council and PNO People\u2019s Militia near Thihson Village in Hsihseng Township, Southern Shan State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This footage was reportedly discovered on the phone of a captured Military Council soldier by resistance forces, and the soldier in question has also allegedly confessed to the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The video reportedly shows a Military Council soldier shooting four captured PNLA soldiers from behind. According to statements from captured Military Council troops, members of the PNO People\u2019s Militia were also involved in the execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four victims shown in the video have been identified as PNLA Deputy Battalion Commander Khun Kyap, Company Commander Khun Mway, Deputy Company Commander Khun Htun Ngwe, and soldier Khun Oo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred on January 12, 2024<\/strong>, during intense clashes between the Military Council\u2013PNO joint forces and the PNLA. During the battle, more than 20 soldiers, including a Military Council column commander, were killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the PNLA side, one soldier was killed and five were captured. As of 8:00 a.m. on January 13<\/strong>, the five captured PNLA soldiers were still alive, but their bodies were later released by the PNO in the evening, showing they had been killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clashes broke out near Nam Lot Village, part of the Han Nar village tract in Lashio Township, Northern Shan State, between the Shan State Progress Party (SSPP) and the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), resulting in casualties, according to local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fighting occurred around 2:30 p.m. on June 1<\/strong> after territorial dispute negotiations between the two sides reportedly failed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SSPP\/SSA (Shan State Army) issued a statement saying that eight MNDAA soldiers were killed<\/strong> and several others were injured during the clash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The confrontation reportedly began when troops under MNDAA\u2019s Battalion 611 launched a surprise assault on SSPP\/SSA columns that were already active in the area. The MNDAA followed up with further attacks later in the evening, escalating the conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the fighting subsided around 5:00 p.m.<\/strong>, both sides were seen reinforcing their positions, causing anxiety among local residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the clashes, civilians from nearby villages\u2014including Nar Laing, Han Nar, Hein Hlun, and Kaung Kaw\u2014were forced to flee for safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early hours of June 1, 2025<\/strong>, at approximately 3:30 a.m.<\/strong>, resistance fighters carried out a close-range attack on Military Council troops stationed at the District Fire Station in Pakokku Town, Magway Region<\/strong>, according to a statement from the PKU N PDF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The battle lasted for over half an hour, during which at least five junta soldiers were killed<\/strong> and another five injured<\/strong>, based on initial reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revolutionary forces were later forced to retreat when reinforcements from the Military Council’s Division 101 and affiliated camps arrived on the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coordinated operation was jointly conducted by the Pakokku Pa Ka Pha Battalion 1<\/strong>, Shwe Nyar Myae PDF<\/strong>, the People\u2019s Defense Force without Borders<\/strong>, and Mying Pa Ka Pha Battalion 3, Unit 4<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to an official release by the Brave Warrior Myanmar (BWM) group, six junta soldiers and two prison laborers were killed during a targeted attack using short-range rockets on the headquarters of the military\u2019s Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 33.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The assault occurred on May 31<\/strong>, when Brave Warrior Myanmar<\/strong> collaborated with Shadow (Sagaing)<\/strong>, No More Dictatorship (NMD)<\/strong>, and Infinity (Sagaing Urban Guerrilla)<\/strong> to launch three short-range rockets at the headquarters of LIB 33.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack reportedly resulted in the deaths of six junta soldiers and two prison laborers working within the military compound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, a military vehicle driver and three more soldiers sustained serious injuries. Three police officers were also wounded due to damage to a line communication post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A central outpost, one line communication post, and two military vehicles were also struck and damaged by the rockets, according to the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were unconfirmed reports that high-ranking junta officers were scheduled to arrive at LIB 33 headquarters. However, it remains unknown whether they had arrived at the time of the strike or if any were injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At approximately 7:40 a.m. on June 1, 2025<\/strong>, the terrorist military junta launched an aerial attack on Kan Thar School<\/strong>, located at Mile 4 in Thabeikkyin Township<\/strong>, using a jet fighter to drop a 500-pound bomb<\/strong>, according to a statement by the Pa Ka Pha of Pyin Oo Lwin District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airstrike caused significant damage to two school buildings<\/strong>, but there were no civilian casualties<\/strong>, according to available information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Yangon Region Military Command under the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government (NUG) has issued a statement commemorating the second anniversary of the formation of Battalion 5101<\/strong>, which was the first official battalion established under its command in the Yangon Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The battalion was officially founded on June 1, 2023<\/strong>, in KNU Brigade 6 territory<\/strong>, having evolved from an urban guerrilla (UG) force. Its formation was intended to establish a formal military unit capable of strategically countering junta forces with organized combat tactics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its formation, Battalion 5101<\/strong> has actively participated in major battles, including those in Kawkareik<\/strong> and Taung Kyar Inn<\/strong>, and has also supported operations along the Southern Shan\u2013Karenni border<\/strong>. It took part in the battle of Papun<\/strong> and was involved in the capture of Shwekyin-based Kha Ma Ya (598) military camp<\/strong>, fighting with strength and discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the course of the anti-dictatorship revolution, some members of Battalion 5101 have made ultimate sacrifices, giving up their lives and limbs with unwavering loyalty to the cause. The battalion remains fully committed to fighting until the military dictatorship is entirely dismantled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
