PDF (No. 2 Military Region) Holds Graduation Ceremony for Field Management and Leadership Training<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 1<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Defense under the National Unity Government (NUG) announced on June 1 that a graduation ceremony for the \u201cField Management and Leadership Training\u201d course was held in the People&#8217;s Defense Force (PDF) No. 2 Military Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was reportedly attended by U Lwin Ko Lat, Union Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration under the National Unity Government; the Operation Commander of No. 2 Military Region, Ye Baw Tin Oo; as well as several military officials and approximately 70 trainees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>2. \u201cIf We Can Overcome the Final Barrier That Divides Us, We Will Defeat the Military Dictatorship,\u201d Says Operation Commander Ye Baw Tin Oo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 1<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ye Baw Tin Oo, Operation Commander of PDF\u2019s No. 2 Military Region, stated that if revolutionary forces can overcome the final barrier that causes internal divisions, victory over the military dictatorship will be within reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He explained that throughout history, military dictatorships have relied on three key strategies: numbing public morale, inciting fear, and sowing division. These must be overcome for the revolution to succeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, the junta has tried to numb the people\u2019s spirit by deliberately spreading confusion, misinformation, and false hopes. At the same time, it has instilled fear through brutal military operations and intelligence crackdowns across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey have carried out horrific and cruel acts to instill fear in the people and in revolutionary fighters,\u201d he said. \u201cBut we, the people and all revolutionaries, refused to be paralyzed by fear. Those atrocities only became our pain and our strength, propelling us forward. We have already overcome those.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that the last remaining strategy the junta relies on is division. Throughout revolutionary history, oppressive regimes have succeeded by exploiting internal rifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe must unite,\u201d he emphasized. \u201cWhatever goals we revolutionaries may pursue, we must be united. Whether as individuals, as organizations, or as revolutionary comrades, unity is essential. Only through unity can we reach our shared destination. This is what I want to say on behalf of my comrades.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He concluded that the military junta is currently facing significant defeats on the battlefield nationwide, and if revolutionary forces can remain united and avoid division, the revolution will prevail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>3. Names and Crimes of Those Leading Myanmar Military\u2019s Weapons Factories Revealed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 1<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tamar Institute has revealed that the Myanmar military\u2019s Directorate of Defence Industries (DDI) is led by senior military engineering officers holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, who serve as factory directors. Most of them are graduates of the Yangon Technological University and the Defence Services Technological Academy (DSTA). These individuals have been directly involved in manufacturing weapons for the Myanmar military and are complicit in atrocities committed against civilians, including the military coup and the Rohingya genocide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the findings, top officials of the Office of the Chief of Military Defence Industries include Lieutenant General Kan Myint Than (Serial No. GY 18276), General Ko Ko Lwin, and General Myo Aung. Since the 2021 coup, personnel from these factories have increasingly participated in front-line combat operations, clearance operations, and so-called \u201csecurity missions.\u201d They have reportedly been directly involved in arbitrary arrests, torture, extrajudicial killings, village burnings, and indiscriminate artillery attacks against civilian populations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, some DDI factory directors are concurrently serving as regional military commanders with security responsibilities, while other DDI officers are involved as key members in district and township-level administrative bodies under the junta in Magway Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>4. 25 Junta Troops Surrendered While 9 Others Captured as Prisoners of War Within a Week<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 1<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to records compiled by the People\u2019s Goal, a total of 34 individuals\u2014including junta troops, police officers, and members of the People\u2019s Military\u2014either surrendered, defected, or were captured in the third week of May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among them, 24 junta soldiers and 1 police officer from Shan, Sagaing, Tanintharyi, and Chin States defected to the resistance. Of these, 6 were identified as new military conscripts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, 9 individuals were captured as prisoners of war: 4 junta soldiers from Shan and Chin States and 5 members of the People\u2019s Military from Tanintharyi Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From January 2025 through the third week of May, a total of&nbsp;<strong>1,116 junta-affiliated personnel<\/strong>&nbsp;have either defected, surrendered, or been captured, according to data from People\u2019s Goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>5.
