Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe from the Ministry of Health under the National Unity Government (NUG) has stated that there is now a pressing need to construct bomb-resistant underground hospitals and clinics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn the past, we were able to establish frontline hospitals and clinics in secure forested or mountainous areas, where we provided medical treatment. However, due to the intensification of attacks during the months of April and May, these facilities can no longer guarantee safety. As a result, we are now compelled to build underground hospitals and clinics capable of withstanding bomb blasts\u2014specifically, those that can resist the impact of 500- to 1000-pound bombs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would like to take this opportunity to call upon all Myanmar nationals both inside and outside the country, as well as international donors, to support the construction of these bomb-resistant underground medical facilities,\u201d the minister emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, the Ministry of Health has partnered with 29 Regional Health Officers<\/strong> and 227 Township Medical Officers<\/strong>, and is operating primary healthcare services across 190 townships<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Healthcare services are being delivered by a workforce of 5,098 healthcare professionals<\/strong> across 106 hospitals<\/strong>, 808 clinics<\/strong>, and more than 192 mobile clinics<\/strong>. In Sagaing Region alone<\/strong>, the number of outpatients treated increased significantly from 10,558<\/strong> to 1,241,633<\/strong> over a span of four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the invitation of Burma Center in the U.S. state of Michigan, Union Minister Naw Susanna Hla Hla Soe from the Ministry of Women, Youth, and Children\u2019s Affairs, along with representatives from women\u2019s groups, visited the center to engage in discussions and share experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christina Khim, Executive Director of Burma Center, presented an overview of the center\u2019s key programs and services, including early childhood education<\/strong>, Burmese language instruction<\/strong>, healthcare services<\/strong>, job placement assistance<\/strong>, translation services<\/strong>, and educational initiatives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the presentation, Union Minister Naw Susanna Hla Hla Soe also gave a detailed explanation of the operations of the National Unity Government (NUG), particularly the services provided by the Ministry of Women, Youth, and Children\u2019s Affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ko Htein Lin, son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, stated that his mother has devoted her entire life to the cause of democracy and human rights in Myanmar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy mother, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, has dedicated her entire life solely to the pursuit of democracy and human rights for Myanmar. She spent one-fourth of her life either in prison or under house arrest. The sacrifices she endured were not for her own benefit, but for the millions of people in Myanmar who dream of freedom,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the State Counsellor of Myanmar, was unlawfully arrested by the military following the February 1, 2021 coup and has since been detained incommunicado, cut off from the outside world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To support the ongoing revolution, commemorative 3D merchandise marking Daw Aung San Suu Kyi\u2019s 80th birthday is now being sold in Norway, according to an announcement by the Myanmar (CRPH) Support Group, Norway<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn an effort to contribute to the revolution, commemorative items jointly produced by Norway-based 3M Studio<\/strong> and the Myanmar (CRPH) Support Group, Norway<\/strong> are now available for purchase. Starting today, people can begin buying and collecting these items,\u201d the announcement stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 3D items include table-top decorations featuring Daw Aung San Suu Kyi\u2019s prominent quotes and a pop-up figure of her, miniature busts of Daw Suu, table-top items adorned with Spring Revolution and NLD flags, and magnetic flags representing the Spring Revolution and the NLD. \u201cWe will also soon post images of additional commemorative items such as keychains, lockets, and others,\u201d the group added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those interested in purchasing the items can order them via the @CRPH Support Group, Norway Messenger<\/strong>. All profits from the sale will be directly donated to support IDP (internally displaced persons) camps inside Myanmar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 25<\/strong>, revolutionary artist Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein<\/strong> successfully held her fundraising concert \u201cPhyu Phyu in Japan\u201d<\/em> in Tokyo, Japan<\/strong>, as part of the Spring Revolution movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The solo concert drew a crowd of more than 7,000 attendees<\/strong>, and it was reported to have been a performance that left audiences deeply satisfied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the event, Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein wrote on her social media platform:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEven if I were to die today, I would die fulfilled in the land of Sakura.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this concert, due to her current health condition, she has announced that she will be temporarily pausing her solo performances<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein has been consistently organizing fundraising concerts for the revolution<\/strong> across countries including the United Kingdom, South Korea, Australia, and Japan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
