According to a statement from Eyadaw, an SAC military unit stationed in Aung Thar Be Ywar Thit Pyu Village<\/em> in Pakokku District, Magway Region, was attacked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operation took place at around 5:00 AM<\/strong> on May 25, targeting a joint force of over 100 SAC troops and Pyu Saw Htee militia members<\/strong> stationed in the village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The engagement reportedly lasted approximately 15 minutes<\/strong>, during which both sides exchanged fire. A resistance fighter from Pakokku District Battalion-5 (Eyadaw)<\/em> was injured, though the injury was described as non-life-threatening<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SAC side reportedly suffered casualties, but detailed information is still under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Thaton Township, Mon State<\/em>, a rock-carrying freight train struck a mine near Hninpale Station<\/em>, between Kyunkalay<\/em> and Zayatkyun<\/em> villages, resulting in minor injuries to the train\u2019s engineer, according to local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred at around 8:00 AM<\/strong> on May 25, when the train traveling from Thaton<\/em> toward Bilin<\/em> was hit by a mine blast. Six carriages of the train derailed<\/strong>, and over 10 feet of the railway track was destroyed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the damage, emergency repair operations are underway, and several Yangon-Mawlamyine express trains<\/strong> had to be reversed or suspended. Temporary suspension of services began on May 25<\/strong>, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the military coup, freight trains and railway infrastructure between Bilin<\/em> and Thaton<\/em> have been targeted by mine attacks at least 10 times<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to frequent landmine attacks on military supply trucks and convoys along the Yangon-Mawlamyine highway<\/em>, the military is reportedly using the railway to transport ammunition and reinforcements<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A warrant officer named July Tun<\/em> from Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 50<\/em> based in Gangaw<\/em>, Magway Region, reportedly took his own life on the night of May 21<\/strong>, according to Yoe Alintan<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A local resident explained the context:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJuly Tun used to drive for TUIC officer Yaryan Paing, whose car overturned in Pinlebu. Back when they were on good terms, they led illegal gambling and drug activities in town. But things changed after Major Myo Win Thu and others left the scene. The operations became subdued. July Tun separated from his wife, became a drug addict, and likely felt powerless without the influence he once had.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His body was buried the same night at the Gangaw Municipal Cemetery<\/em>. Since he did not die in combat, he was not granted any official military honor or recognition<\/strong>, according to a current SAC military strategist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
