The attack and seizure occurred earlier that same day during the morning hours.

According to the KNU’s administrative demarcations, Waw Lay Town—where Baw Lay Doe village is situated—is part of Kawkareik Township in Dooplaya District.

Following the base’s capture, at approximately 1:00 PM, junta air forces conducted aerial bombardments in the vicinity of Baw Lay Doe, a Karen military source reported.

The Baw Lay Doe base functioned as a forward outpost supporting the strategic Waw Lay and Ukrit bases. Its fall now facilitates easier access for resistance forces to launch further assaults on the Seik Bo Boe military base, which is situated along the Myawaddy–Waw Lay road near Seik Bo Boe village.

The KNU has previously seized most of the SAC’s outposts within Brigade 7’s operational region along the border. It is now continuing its offensive operations into Brigade 6 territory, with ongoing attacks against border camps. Despite the fall of the Baw Lay Doe base, SAC forces continue to control several strategic positions, including Waw Lay, Seik Bo Boe, Wamee Htar, Ukrit, Kane Lay, and Maw Kee camps.

========================

🚩🚩 2.
