\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 1. 13 Junta Soldiers Captured, Battalion Commander and Over 50 Troops Flee as Battalion 598 Headquarters Falls<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During an assault on the military junta\u2019s Battalion 598 headquarters based in Nyaung Chay Htauk Village, Shwegyin Township, Bago Region, a total of 13 junta soldiers were captured<\/strong>, and over 50 troops, including the battalion commander<\/strong>, abandoned their positions and fled, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The joint offensive was launched on May 8<\/strong> by the Southern Division of the People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/strong>, Operation Areas 1 and 2<\/strong>, and KNU\/KNLA Brigade 3<\/strong>, successfully overrunning and capturing the junta\u2019s Battalion 598 headquarters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the battle, the bodies of 30 junta soldiers<\/strong> were recovered, and 13 others<\/strong>, including six military personnel<\/strong> and seven family members<\/strong>, were captured. The statement confirmed that approximately 50 remaining soldiers and officers<\/strong>, including the battalion commander<\/strong>, had abandoned the camp and fled<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the resistance forces seized:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

83 assorted weapons<\/strong>, including Point 5 machine guns<\/strong>, 75mm recoilless rifles<\/strong>, 81mm and 60mm mortars<\/strong>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 generator engines<\/strong>, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ammunition stockpiles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The joint attack force included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PDF Southern Division Special Operations Force (SOF – Special Offensive Strategy)<\/strong>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the Karen National Union (KNU) Brigade 3, Battalion 27<\/strong>, and affiliated drone units<\/strong> also actively participated in the operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. Four Junta Personnel Including Officer Killed in Ambush in Ye Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Ye Township, Mon State<\/strong>, four junta troops, including a military officer, were killed when a combined resistance force launched an ambush attack<\/strong> on a military convoy conducting a territorial clearance operation, according to reports from the Daung Battalion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 10 at around 10:00 a.m.<\/strong>, a military convoy composed of over 80 troops<\/strong> from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lt. Col. Ye Min Htut\u2019s unit<\/strong> from 317 Infantry Battalion<\/strong> based in Lamine Town,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputy Commander Nay Myo Htaik\u2019s unit<\/strong> from 106 Light Infantry Battalion<\/strong>, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lt. Col. Myo Min Oo\u2019s unit<\/strong> from Battalion 588<\/strong>,
was ambushed near Kutoe Seik and Kar Seik Villages<\/strong>, close to Kok Htaw Village<\/strong>, while traveling between Lamine<\/strong> and Kar Seik<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta convoy had reached Kutoe Seik by vehicle and was crossing to Kar Seik by boat when they were intercepted and attacked by a combined revolutionary force<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of the ambush:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six junta troops<\/strong> were wounded,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One deputy commander<\/strong> from LIB 106 succumbed to his injuries en route to Lamine Hospital<\/strong>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three more troops<\/strong> later died while undergoing medical treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The joint ambush was conducted by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PDF Strategic Command 33<\/strong>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daung Battalion’s special strike team<\/strong>, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. Three Villages in Wetlet Township Bombed by Junta Airstrikes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Wetlet Township<\/strong>, Shwebo District, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, three villages were reportedly bombed by junta airstrikes without provocation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 11<\/strong>, Shwe Pan Kone Village<\/strong> was bombed with two aerial bombs<\/strong> by a military jet fighter<\/strong>, resulting in civilian casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, around 11:00 a.m.<\/strong>, Me Taw Kone Village\u2019s monastery<\/strong> was bombed by a fighter jet flying in from Tada-U<\/strong>, which dropped two 300-lb bombs<\/strong>, injuring four civilians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, at approximately 10:30 a.m.<\/strong>, Thit Seint Village<\/strong> was also bombed with a single 300-lb bomb<\/strong> dropped by a junta jet flying from Tada-U, causing further civilian casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 4. Woman Killed by Junta Artillery Fire in Bilin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A woman was killed after being struck by a 120mm artillery shell fired by junta forces into Karawai Seik Village, Bilin Township, Mon State, according to the Lagun Ein<\/em> news journal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shelling reportedly took place at around 4:00 p.m. on May 10, when the junta\u2019s Light Infantry Battalion 44 launched a 120mm shell into Karawai Seik Village. The shell landed and exploded in a toddy palm plantation area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The explosion killed 66-year-old Daw Khin Aye, who was directly hit by shrapnel from the shell, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the same day in the afternoon of May 10, the junta also carried out an aerial bombardment using a Y-12 aircraft, dropping five bombs on Winkant Village, Kyaikto Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 5. Despite Extended Ceasefire, Junta Continues Attacks in Nawnghkio with Airstrikes, Drones, and Heavy Artillery<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the junta has officially extended its unilateral ceasefire from May 6 to May 31, it continues to conduct daily offensives in Nawnghkio Township\u2014territory under the control of the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA)\u2014using ground forces, heavy artillery, drones, and airstrikes, according to a TNLA statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A clash broke out at around 6:50 a.m. on May 10 when junta troops launched a ground assault near Tharyetcho Village, where TNLA units were present. A second confrontation took place around 4:50 p.m. near Yapyin Village between TNLA and junta forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, at approximately 4:05 p.m., the junta dropped seven bombs from a fighter jet on multiple locations including the Railway Ward in Nawnghkio Town, Sanmasa Village, and Oummatee Village. Three civilian homes and one vehicle were damaged due to direct bomb impacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier that day, at around 9:32 a.m., junta troops based in Taikaw Village also used drones to drop nine bombs\u2014including three chemical gas bombs\u2014on Oummatee Village. Martman Taw Village was also subjected to 14 rounds of heavy artillery shelling and 18 drone-dropped bombs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, in Thabeikkyin Township, which borders Mogok Township, a fighter jet conducted two airstrike runs on the area known as \u201c7 Mile\u201d at around 3:11 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 6. Pa Ka Pha Provides Aid to Two Villages Burned Down by Junta in Salin Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Salin Township, Magway Region, the People\u2019s Defense Force (Pa Ka Pha) has delivered humanitarian aid to internally displaced civilians from two villages that were torched and destroyed by junta troops during a military operation in March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Salin Pa Ka Pha, the destruction caused by junta arson during the conflict led to the loss of 157 civilian homes across the two villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To assist the affected populations, local Pa Ka Pha representatives and comrades personally delivered approximately 29 sacks of rice\u2014providing four pyi (about 8 kg) per household. In addition to material aid, they also offered words of encouragement and solidarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Salin Pa Ka Pha noted that the displaced civilians are still facing urgent needs, including clean drinking water, healthcare, basic household supplies, and mosquito nets. The organization issued a heartfelt appeal for further assistance to support these individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
