NUCC Announces List of Member Organizations and Council Representatives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>May 4<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC)<\/strong>&nbsp;has officially released the list of its member organizations and council representatives on&nbsp;<strong>May 4<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NUCC was established in accordance with&nbsp;<strong>Part I, Chapter II<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Part II, Chapter III, Section 15<\/strong>&nbsp;of the&nbsp;<strong>Federal Democracy Charter<\/strong>, and is composed of five major groups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>(a)\u00a0<strong>Elected parliamentary representatives<\/strong>, including those from the\u00a0<strong>Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH)<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(b)\u00a0<strong>Political parties<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(c)\u00a0<strong>Civil society organizations<\/strong>, including labor unions, women&#8217;s groups, youth associations, and ethnic minority organizations; also involved are\u00a0<strong>CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) groups<\/strong>\u00a0comprising government staff resisting the military regime, and\u00a0<strong>public protest coordination groups<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(d)\u00a0<strong>Ethnic revolutionary organizations<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(e)\u00a0<strong>Interim state\/federal unit\/ethnic representative bodies or councils<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These five categories collectively form the core structure of the NUCC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>2. TNLA and KIA to Hold Talks Soon in Line with Alliance Agreements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>May 4<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army (TNLA)<\/strong>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>Kachin Independence Army (KIA)<\/strong>&nbsp;are expected to hold talks soon to resolve ongoing issues in&nbsp;<strong>northern Shan State<\/strong>&nbsp;and to strengthen their collaborative efforts, according to&nbsp;<strong>Colonel Tar Pan La<\/strong>, Joint General Secretary of the TNLA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He made this statement during a&nbsp;<strong>press briefing on political and military affairs<\/strong>&nbsp;organized by the&nbsp;<strong>PSLF\/TNLA<\/strong>&nbsp;on May 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Political Solidarity and Liberation Front (PSLF)<\/strong>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>Kachin Independence Organization (KIO)<\/strong>&nbsp;have maintained a&nbsp;<strong>permanent alliance<\/strong>&nbsp;since 1976. The two organizations renewed their alliance agreements in&nbsp;<strong>2013<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>2023<\/strong>, reaffirming their commitment to continued cooperation. Although they had originally planned to meet&nbsp;<strong>at least once a year at the central committee level<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>intensification of military conflict<\/strong>&nbsp;has prevented them from holding such meetings as scheduled, Colonel Tar Pan La explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe had already signed three agreements in the past, and we had mutual understandings. There are also plans to hold meetings\u2014perhaps very soon\u2014on a yearly basis,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preparations for the upcoming meeting have reportedly been&nbsp;<strong>completed<\/strong>, and both sides are now in the process of&nbsp;<strong>finalizing the meeting location<\/strong>, according to the TNLA, which affirmed that discussions will take place in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc<strong>&nbsp;3. ICNCC President Warns Against Forming Parties to Contest Elections in Collaboration with the Military Council in Chin State<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>May 4<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Khin Tan, the rotating Chair of the Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC), has issued a warning urging the public not to entertain any thoughts of forming political parties to contest elections in collaboration with the military council\u2014an entity that continues to kill civilians and torch villages across Chin State. He delivered this message during the opening speech of the \u201cNorthern Chin Final Wave\u201d live session held on May 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He called on everyone to stand on the side of justice and further urged those unable to do so not to obstruct those who are taking a principled stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt the very least, do not engage in activities such as preparing to form parties or contesting elections in collaboration with the SAC, an entity that burns down villages, kills people, treats CDM participants as criminals, and is driving the country to ruin. We urge you not to start, not to even consider it\u2014do not bring such intentions into Chin State. We sincerely say this out of goodwill, warning that nothing good will come in the future for those who choose to do so,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Khin Tan clarified that this warning was not issued from a place of hostility, but rather out of sincere concern, emphasizing that any aspirations to gain power through the military council\u2019s unjust means are both futile and ultimately detrimental to the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc<strong>&nbsp;4.
