Over 200 People Killed in More Than 200 Airstrikes by the Terrorist Military Council, Announces the National Unity Government<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 29<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Unity Government (NUG) has announced that more than 200 civilians have been killed in over 200 airstrikes carried out by the terrorist military council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the NUG, from the time of the earthquake on March 28 until April 25, a total of 225 airstrikes were launched by the SAC, resulting in 242 civilian deaths. Among these, Sagaing Region suffered the highest number of attacks and fatalities\u2014with 52 airstrikes and 80 deaths. Mandalay Region experienced 48 airstrikes with 57 deaths, while Kachin State was hit 12 times, resulting in 41 deaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the NUG and allied ethnic revolutionary forces had declared a temporary ceasefire following the March 28 earthquake in Sagaing, the SAC continued launching attacks using paramotors, jet fighters, and military helicopters, deliberately targeting numerous civilian areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. Two Airstrikes Conducted in Northern Sagaing Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 29<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two airstrikes were conducted in a northern area of Sagaing Township using one J-Frighter aircraft originating from Tanta-U and another from Meiktila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to&nbsp;<strong>Wetlet Informational Network<\/strong>, the two attacks occurred at&nbsp;<strong>9:34 AM<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>9:48 AM<\/strong>&nbsp;respectively. Data gathered by the Association for the Assistance of Political Prisoners (AAPP) indicates that between&nbsp;<strong>April 1 and April 23, 2025<\/strong>, airstrikes by the terrorist junta resulted in a total of&nbsp;<strong>55 civilian deaths<\/strong>\u2014<strong>32 women<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>23 men<\/strong>, including&nbsp;<strong>17 children under the age of 18<\/strong>. Sagaing Region accounted for the highest number of fatalities, with&nbsp;<strong>21 deaths<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>3. Over 20 SAC Troops Killed in Clashes in Southern Kalay<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 29<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During a major operation by the Kalay-based CDF-KKG, heavy fighting erupted in southern Kalay as the junta attempted to recapture the Kyansar village outpost\u2014one of five camps they had previously abandoned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On April 27 at around 5:00 AM, two separate columns of junta troops launched an offensive aimed at retaking the site. In the ensuing battle, resistance forces reportedly seized&nbsp;<strong>eight weapons<\/strong>&nbsp;and quantities of ammunition.&nbsp;<strong>Seven SAC bodies<\/strong>&nbsp;were recovered, and more than&nbsp;<strong>20 junta soldiers<\/strong>&nbsp;were confirmed dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although junta forces retrieved some of their wounded troops, it was reported that they executed some injured soldiers rather than evacuating them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SAC conducted multiple airstrikes during the battle using&nbsp;<strong>jets, Y-12 aircraft, MI-35 helicopters, and drones<\/strong>, bombing several civilian villages including&nbsp;<strong>Nat Chaung, Nat Myoung, Aung Chan Thar, Than Pho, and Ngape<\/strong>. These attacks killed&nbsp;<strong>four civilians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The operation was jointly executed by&nbsp;<strong>CNA, CDF-KKG, CDF-Vakok, MCR,<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Military Region No. 1<\/strong>, and reports state that they successfully repelled the offensive without significant losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>4. Total Death Toll of Democracy Activists and Civilians Killed Since Spring Revolution Reaches 6,574<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 29<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has been confirmed that a total of&nbsp;<strong>6,574 people<\/strong>, including democracy activists and civilians, have been killed during the Spring Revolution due to the violence perpetrated by the terrorist junta and its affiliates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the&nbsp;<strong>Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP)<\/strong>, from&nbsp;<strong>February 1, 2021<\/strong>, when the illegal military coup began, through&nbsp;<strong>April 28, 2025<\/strong>, a total of&nbsp;<strong>6,574 individuals<\/strong>&nbsp;have been killed as part of the junta\u2019s brutal suppression of the pro-democracy movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally,&nbsp;<strong>29,083 individuals<\/strong>&nbsp;have been arrested in connection with the coup, of whom&nbsp;<strong>22,180<\/strong>&nbsp;remain in detention.
