Some of our allied revolutionary groups are striving to&nbsp;<strong>exert military pressure<\/strong>&nbsp;while simultaneously seeking to consolidate and project a&nbsp;<strong>unified and strong political force<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Others are placing greater emphasis on&nbsp;<strong>future federal governance<\/strong>, seeking to proceed with deeper consideration of international dynamics and perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>International pressure may also intensify, potentially using the recent earthquake as a pretext.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ASEAN, on its part, has already engaged in highly coordinated efforts in this regard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, it is essential that we, on our side,&nbsp;<strong>forecast and prepare<\/strong>&nbsp;for any forthcoming international developments,\u201d the Prime Minister stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that, with cabinet members being entrusted with extensive duties,&nbsp;<strong>effective time and personnel management is crucial<\/strong>&nbsp;to ensure the revolutionary journey continues&nbsp;<strong>safely and healthily<\/strong>, offering his well wishes for that path ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc<strong>&nbsp;3. Nearly 20 Military Aircraft and Helicopters Damaged or Destroyed by Revolutionary Forces, Says Presidential Spokesperson<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presidential Office Spokesperson U Kyaw Zaw revealed that nearly&nbsp;<strong>20 military aircraft and helicopters<\/strong>&nbsp;of the junta have been damaged or destroyed as a result of attacks by revolutionary forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an interview with a news outlet earlier this April, he stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnti-aircraft weaponry remains limited in certain areas. While we\u2019ve managed to engage targets in some locations, we haven\u2019t been able to fully defend many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another issue is Myanmar\u2019s vast geography. Junta aircraft operate nationwide, but our weaponry cannot be easily transported from one area to another, and we face limitations in both mobility and availability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though we don\u2019t have exact figures,&nbsp;<strong>around eight military planes and over ten helicopters<\/strong>&nbsp;have reportedly been damaged or destroyed. Some were completely destroyed. Justice For Myanmar Calls on Malaysia and ASEAN to End Complicity in Military Junta\u2019s Crimes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Justice For Myanmar (JFM)<\/strong>&nbsp;has called on&nbsp;<strong>Malaysia and ASEAN<\/strong>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<strong>end all forms of complicity in the military junta\u2019s crimes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cInstead of holding the Myanmar junta accountable for its war crimes, Malaysia, the current ASEAN Chair, has engaged in meetings with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Min Aung Hlaing has been using earthquake relief as a&nbsp;<strong>weaponized tool<\/strong>, escalating&nbsp;<strong>aerial assaults<\/strong>&nbsp;and committing&nbsp;<strong>massacres<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Engaging with a war criminal amounts to endorsing and facilitating such atrocities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stop supporting war crimes.<\/strong>&nbsp;Malaysia and ASEAN must&nbsp;<strong>immediately cease their complicity<\/strong>&nbsp;and stand with the people of Myanmar,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Justice For Myanmar continues to&nbsp;<strong>expose the junta\u2019s financial interests<\/strong>&nbsp;and advocates for&nbsp;<strong>international sanctions and accountability actions<\/strong>&nbsp;against the regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>5. Record-Breaking Heatwave to Hit Central Myanmar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A civilian meteorological observer has warned that over the next four days, temperatures will rise above&nbsp;<strong>40\u00b0C<\/strong>&nbsp;in the central Myanmar regions of&nbsp;<strong>Sagaing, Mandalay, and Magway<\/strong>\u2014areas home to the highest concentration of&nbsp;<strong>displaced families<\/strong>&nbsp;affected by conflict and recent earthquakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The warning covers&nbsp;<strong>22 townships<\/strong>&nbsp;within these regions where many displaced civilians are residing, including&nbsp;<strong>Sagaing, Monywa, Budalin, Twingywar, Sarlingyi, Myaung, Pale, Tamu, Mandalay, Myingyan, Tada-U, Myitnge, Kyaukse, Taungtha, Myinchan, Nyaung-U, Singu, Pakokku, Upper Minhla, Yezagyo, Pauk, and Pakhangyi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the 2021 military coup, the junta has waged war across the country, resulting in the destruction of more than&nbsp;<strong>100,000 homes<\/strong>. Among the hardest-hit areas, Sagaing Region alone accounts for nearly&nbsp;<strong>75,000 homes<\/strong>&nbsp;destroyed. The brutal military operations have displaced&nbsp;<strong>over one million people<\/strong>, with most taking shelter in remote areas\u2014fields, farmlands, and open spaces far from their original villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>6. Germany Announces Additional $2.5 Million in Humanitarian Aid for Myanmar Earthquake Response<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>German Embassy in Yangon<\/strong>&nbsp;announced on April 23 that Germany will contribute an additional&nbsp;<strong>USD 2.5 million<\/strong>&nbsp;in humanitarian assistance to support earthquake response efforts in Myanmar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the announcement:<br><em>&#8220;Germany is allocating this additional funding to support urgent relief operations following the devastating earthquake in Myanmar. Of the $2.5 million, $1 million will be contributed to the Myanmar Humanitarian Fund (MHF), and the remaining $1.5 million will be disbursed through national and international non-governmental partner organizations.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This new funding brings Germany\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>total humanitarian aid to Myanmar in 2025<\/strong>&nbsp;to over&nbsp;<strong>USD 10 million<\/strong>. Of the earlier allocations,&nbsp;<strong>$5.5 million<\/strong>&nbsp;was already provided directly to the MHF, while additional contributions have also been made to the&nbsp;<strong>UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF)<\/strong>\u2014the United Nations&#8217; global emergency relief mechanism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Germany has also supported emergency airlifts through the&nbsp;<strong>EU\u2019s humanitarian air bridge<\/strong>, and has pledged to continue long-term humanitarian engagement in Myanmar, including post-earthquake recovery and resilience-building initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>7. Myanmar Community in Canada Raises $10,000 for Earthquake Recovery Efforts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;<strong>Canada<\/strong>, members of the Myanmar diaspora have raised&nbsp;<strong>USD 10,000<\/strong>&nbsp;for earthquake recovery efforts through a food sale fundraising initiative, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organized as a small market under the project name &#8220;Giggle Gang,&#8221; the initiative generated net proceeds of&nbsp;<strong>CAD 651<\/strong>, which were formally handed over to&nbsp;<strong>Ko Tin Maung Htoo<\/strong>&nbsp;of the&nbsp;<strong>London Burmese Community<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A statement from the London Burmese Community reads:<br><em>&#8220;We have reached our target of $10,001 for earthquake recovery.
