Alliance Formed Between Daung Operations Column (3) and Armed Forces from Mon, Karen, and Tanintharyi for Joint Military Action<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 21 | Radio NUG<\/strong><br>An agreement has been reached for the Daung Operations Column (3) and the armed resistance forces from Mon, Karen, and Tanintharyi regions to cooperate as military allies, according to an official announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the morning of April 17, representatives from Daung Operations Column (3) (consisting of Sub-columns 4, 6, and 7), KNU Brigade 6 (Battalion 27), New Mon State Party (Anti-Dictatorship faction), Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF), ABSDF Battalion 1, and the Danu National Liberation Army (DNLA) met for discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting focused on enhancing coordination and operational effectiveness to counter the junta\u2019s advancing military columns in Yephyu Township, and to strengthen joint efforts for military operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Saw Dar Ko, Operation Commander of Daung Column (Strategy 33), this is not merely a nominal alliance\u2014genuine collaboration on the ground is required. Thai Military Deploys Anti-Aircraft Artillery to Border Following Junta Airspace Violation During Bombing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 21 | Radio NUG<\/strong><br>Following an airspace violation by a junta aircraft during bombing raids on KNLA positions, the Thai military has deployed anti-aircraft artillery to the border, according to reports from Thai outlets&nbsp;<em>Khaosod<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Bangkok Post<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On April 21, residents from Phunamron Village, Muang District, Kanchanaburi Province\u2014on the Thai side of the border opposite the Tee Khee area in Tanintharyi Region\u2014observed a junta Y-12 aircraft flying overhead, shortly followed by at least ten explosions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A junta Mi-17 helicopter was also reportedly spotted in the area, with around&nbsp;<strong>60 junta soldiers<\/strong>&nbsp;deployed near the border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, on April 19, resistance forces led by the KNLA successfully seized the junta\u2019s strategic Tee Hta base in the Tanintharyi Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the escalation, the Thai authorities warned against further bombing near the border or allowing cross-border conflict to spill into Thai territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, Thailand&#8217;s 9th Infantry Division is maintaining border security in Kanchanaburi, and anti-aircraft artillery has been relocated for airspace defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9<strong>&nbsp;3. PRA-Magway Reports 23 Armed Engagements in 2025, with 63 Junta Casualties Including Major Siha Aung<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 21 | Radio NUG<\/strong><br>The People&#8217;s Revolutionary Alliance \u2013 Magway (PRA-Magway) reported that from January to April 2025, it conducted&nbsp;<strong>23 armed operations<\/strong>, resulting in&nbsp;<strong>63 junta casualties<\/strong>, including Major Siha Aung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In its latest statement, the group said a number of weapons and ammunition were also seized during these operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report added that among those captured were&nbsp;<strong>18 junta personnel<\/strong>, including senior officers such as Colonel Aung Nyein Chan and Tin Ko Htet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9<strong>&nbsp;4. Nearly 20 Junta Troops Killed in Four Battles in Ngape and Padan Townships Over Two Months<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 21 | Radio NUG<\/strong><br>According to PRA-Magway, four battles conducted in&nbsp;<strong>February and March<\/strong>&nbsp;across Ngape and Padan townships in Magway Region resulted in the deaths of&nbsp;<strong>19 junta soldiers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the morning of&nbsp;<strong>February 25<\/strong>, around 20 junta soldiers who were setting up camp near Sinnar Farm close to Nat Yae Kan in Ngape Township were ambushed by PRA-Magway forces. The junta troops suffered casualties and retreated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, on the morning of&nbsp;<strong>February 28<\/strong>, a 60-strong junta column descending from the Nat Yae Kan tactical hill position was intercepted and attacked, leaving&nbsp;<strong>six soldiers dead<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>four others wounded<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the morning of&nbsp;<strong>March 18<\/strong>, a clash occurred at a road junction between Pazi Village and Laing Village in Ngape Township, involving a 40-member junta column. The battle left&nbsp;<strong>seven dead<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>four wounded<\/strong>&nbsp;on the junta side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then on the early morning of&nbsp;<strong>March 30<\/strong>, PRA-Magway and Battalion 2 of Minbu District jointly attacked the Padan Township entrance gate along the Pathein\u2013Monywa highway.&nbsp;<strong>Six junta soldiers were killed<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>four wounded<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entrance gate was manned by over 20 troops from the junta military, police, and Pyusawhti militia. According to PRA-Magway, the gate had been extorting money from civilians and market vendors and committing acts of oppression, prompting the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The alliance also reported seizing a significant quantity of junta weaponry and ammunition during these operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>5. Mobile Medical Team Treating Earthquake-Affected Civilians in Sagaing Bombed by Junta Forces<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 21<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to&nbsp;<em>Mizzima News Agency<\/em>, a mobile medical team providing healthcare assistance to civilians affected by the recent earthquake in Aidine Village, Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region, was targeted in an airstrike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bombing occurred in the afternoon of April 21, when junta forces launched an airstrike on a monastery where the medical team had temporarily stationed to offer treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the attack, four civilians receiving medical care and two monks sustained injuries. However, it was reported that no members of the mobile medical team were harmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the junta\u2019s declared ceasefire from April 2 to 22 in response to the earthquake, they have continued carrying out airstrikes targeting civilians. The assault on a medical team treating disaster-affected civilians constitutes a war crime, said a defense officer from Sagaing Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between April 1 and 21, over 20 airstrikes were launched on Thabeikkyin, Singu, and Madaya Townships in Mandalay Region, reportedly resulting in the deaths of more than 60 civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>6. Junta Launches Chemical Gas Bomb Attack near Taung Kham, Northern Shan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 21<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Junta troops dropped chemical gas bombs in the vicinity of Taung Kham Village in northern Shan State, according to the Danau People\u2019s Liberation Front (DPLF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On April 21, at around 1:00 p.m., junta forces dropped three chemical gas bombs on positions held by TNLA and DPLA troops, followed by another four bombs approximately six minutes later, the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DPLF reported that resistance fighters who inhaled the gas experienced symptoms including dizziness, vomiting, and lowered blood pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite publicly declaring a ceasefire, the junta continues to carry out chemical gas bomb attacks not only in Taung Kham but also in other areas where resistance forces are active\u2014employing internationally banned weapons in repeated assaults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fierce clashes are ongoing in Taung Kham between junta forces and allied troops of TNLA and DPLA. Jet Fighter Drops Dual 500-Pound Bombs on Thintaw Village, Kanbalu; Six Civilians Killed, Homes Destroyed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 21<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At 6:50 p.m. on April 20, a jet fighter from the junta launched an airstrike on Thintaw Village, Kanbalu Township, without any legitimate military target, according to the Kanbalu District Team of the Kyunhla-Kanbalu Activists Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The assault involved two 500-pound bombs dropped near the general store owned by U Soe Min and Daw Mu Cho. The blast resulted in the deaths of six civilians: U Kyaw Min Gyi (50), Ko Phoe Mauk (approx. 30), Ko Min Min (early 30s), Daw Khin Mar Nhin (approx. 50), Daw Saw (over 50), and a young woman in her twenties whose identity is yet to be confirmed. Local Communities Celebrate the Return of Victorious Pa Ka Pha Fighters in Boke Pyin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 21<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents of Boke Pyin welcomed and celebrated the victorious return of People\u2019s Defense Force (Pa Ka Pha) fighters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports, members of the People\u2019s Defense Force from Tanintharyi Township successfully carried out an attack on a Pyu Saw Htee outpost in Shwe Ga Nyo Village, located in Boke Pyin Township, and were honorably welcomed by local civilians upon their return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The assault was executed by the attack division of the Tanintharyi Township People\u2019s Defense Force and the attack unit of the Tanintharyi Region People\u2019s Defense Force.
