Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung States That While Some Aspects of NUG\u2019s International Relations Can Be Publicly Shared, Others Must Remain Confidential Due to Ongoing Developments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 19<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, Daw Zin Mar Aung, has stated that regarding the National Unity Government\u2019s (NUG) international relations, there are matters that can be disclosed to the public, while others cannot yet be shared as they have not reached a conclusive outcome. Her remarks came during an exclusive interview with Mizzima News, following discussions between Prime Minister of the NUG, Mahn Winn Khine Thann, and Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia and current ASEAN Chair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat I would like to tell the public is that we are doing everything within our capacity on international relations. There are things we can announce. But there are also things we cannot speak about yet because they are still in progress or results have not materialized. That said, we will continue to operate with as much transparency as possible, and will inform the public of everything that we are able to disclose,\u201d she affirmed, addressing the public directly in her response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>2. Donation of Essential Supplies Including a Photocopier and ICOM Device to an NUG-affiliated School in Pale Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 19<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Four Districts Group in Upper Myanmar reported that a photocopier and an ICOM device have been donated to a school under the NUG\u2019s education program in Pale Township, where such equipment was urgently needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The school, which serves over 300 students, is a community-based institution. A photocopier, intended to assist with printing examination materials, was donated by World Mercy Korea through facilitation by Korean Buddhist monk Daegu Sunim. Additionally, an ICOM communication device was provided to help protect the school against potential airstrikes. Other donated supplies included one pack of A4 paper and a printer cartridge, with the total cost of the donation exceeding 2.2 million kyats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, snacks and nutritional items were distributed to the students, and 18 CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) teachers received a monetary offering of 20,000 kyats each in appreciation of their service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>3. MDY PDF Urges International Community to Closely Monitor and Respond Decisively to Junta\u2019s Airstrikes Against Civilians Amidst Ceasefire Period<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 19<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF) of Mandalay has issued a statement urging neighboring countries, global powers, and international organizations to closely monitor the Myanmar military junta\u2019s continuous airstrikes targeting civilian areas, and to take appropriate action against these war crimes, which are being perpetrated even during a period of humanitarian ceasefire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement emphasized the need for persistent vigilance from countries such as China, India, and Thailand; major global powers including the United States and Russia; regional blocs such as ASEAN and the European Union; and global organizations like the United Nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the statement, between April 1 and April 19, 2025, the military junta carried out airstrikes in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Thabeikkyin Township<\/strong>: 13 times<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Singu Township<\/strong>: 4 times<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Madaya Township<\/strong>: 1 time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of these brutal air attacks between April 1 and April 19, a minimum of&nbsp;<strong>41 civilians<\/strong>&nbsp;were reported killed and&nbsp;<strong>at least 58<\/strong>&nbsp;injured in Thabeikkyin, Singu, and Madaya townships. Among the deceased, at least&nbsp;<strong>seven were children<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airstrikes by the junta have targeted&nbsp;<strong>non-military locations<\/strong>, including&nbsp;<strong>marketplaces, schools, religious buildings, and residential homes<\/strong>&nbsp;where civilians go about their daily lives. A total of&nbsp;<strong>54 homes<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>one school<\/strong>&nbsp;were confirmed to have been destroyed in the attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>4. Clarification Regarding Junta Propaganda Claiming That Pilgrims Visiting the Kyaukhtiyoe Pagoda Were Detained by Revolutionary Forces<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 19<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response to the junta\u2019s propaganda alleging that pilgrims visiting the Kyaukhtiyoe Pagoda were arrested by revolutionary forces, Strategic Command No. (27) has issued a clarification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The propaganda stemmed from an operation in which revolutionary forces detained Pyu Saw Htee leaders near the Kyaikhtiyo mountain base, specifically at the Kadat Chaung Waterfall in Kin Mun Chaung Village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On April 15, based on local intelligence, the People\u2019s Defense Team from Kyaikto Township conducted a raid on a restaurant in Kadat Chaung, where Pyu Saw Htee leader Hlaing Min from Nyaunglebin Township, his deputy Ma Gyi, and others were reportedly consuming alcohol and under the influence of narcotics. A total of 48 individuals, including their family members, were detained during this operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the main objective was the arrest of Pyu Saw Htee leaders and members, all 48 individuals, including family members who were accompanying them, were temporarily taken into custody for security reasons, it was explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At present, Pyu leader Hlaing Min, Pyu members Ma Gyi, Min Maw Oo (Hlaing Min\u2019s son), Kyaw Kyaw Oo, Thein Thein, and Hlaing Min\u2019s wife Yamin remain in detention. The rest of the family members were released on April 18, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was also stated that investigations are ongoing to uncover the crimes committed by the arrested Pyu Saw Htee members and that appropriate legal actions and effective penalties will be pursued based on the nature and severity of their offenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>5. Public Advisory: Ongoing Clashes Have Reached Hinthada District\u2014Residents Urged to Remain Vigilant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 19<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clashes currently taking place across the Ayeyarwady Region have now reached&nbsp;<strong>Hinthada District<\/strong>, according to a public advisory issued by the Hinthada Township People&#8217;s Administrative Body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As fighting intensifies and the conflict zone expands, civilians from areas directly affected by the fighting have already started fleeing to nearby villages and townships.
