In Thantlang Township, Chin State, a total of six intense clashes occurred within 33 days following the blockade of the junta\u2019s military base in Shan Le Plain, Thantlang. According to a statement by Nay Pyi Taw PDF, the fighting involved troops from the junta\u2019s Division 88, which was deployed from Nay Pyi Taw as reinforcements. As a result, 62 junta soldiers were confirmed dead.<\/p>\n

Between\u00a0March 1 and April 2<\/b>, there were\u00a0six major battles<\/b>, clearance operations, and several minor engagements. According to findings during territory-clearing missions,\u00a062 junta troops were killed<\/b>, more than\u00a0100 were injured<\/b>, and\u00a0weapons and ammunition<\/b>\u00a0were seized. Moreover,\u00a0three junta soldiers defected<\/b>, bringing along\u00a0two rifles and some ammunition<\/b>.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0March 1<\/b>, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., a clash broke out near\u00a0Taung Myint Ywar Ma Village<\/b>\u00a0in Pyinmana Township when junta forces attempted to advance.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0March 23<\/b>, between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., around\u00a0300 junta soldiers<\/b>\u00a0under Division 88 launched a three-pronged offensive near\u00a0Mi Ei Kalay Village<\/b>\u00a0in Yenae Township, prompting a defensive counterattack.<\/p>\n

Similarly, on\u00a0March 24<\/b>, between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., approximately\u00a0300 junta troops<\/b>\u00a0advanced in three separate columns near\u00a0Bodhi Kone Village<\/b>, Yedashe Township, triggering further clashes.<\/p>\n

The junta deployed\u00a0ground forces<\/b>, a\u00a0Jet Fighter<\/b>, a\u00a0Mi-35 attack helicopter<\/b>, and\u00a0Point-8 mortars<\/b>\u00a0for artillery support. During an airstrike, due to heavy smoke in the southern hills, a\u00a0friendly fire incident<\/b>\u00a0occurred, with bombs mistakenly dropped on junta positions.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0March 25<\/b>, between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., an intense clash broke out near\u00a0Kyo Chaung Village<\/b>, Yenae Township, between around\u00a0600 junta reinforcements<\/b>\u00a0and allied resistance forces.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0March 30<\/b>, between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., approximately\u00a0800 junta troops<\/b>\u00a0advancing from the north of Thantlang encountered fierce resistance near\u00a0North Nancho Village<\/b>.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0April 2<\/b>, another clash erupted between junta troops advancing from\u00a0Ywar Tan Shay Village<\/b>\u00a0towards\u00a0North Nancho Village<\/b>\u00a0in northern Thantlang and allied resistance forces, resulting in significant junta casualties and a forced retreat.<\/p>\n

These coordinated operations involved joint forces from the\u00a0People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/b>,\u00a0Nay Pyi Taw Military Region Command<\/b>, Battalions\u00a0901<\/b>,\u00a0804<\/b>,\u00a0807<\/b>, and\u00a0808<\/b>,\u00a0RTC columns<\/b>,\u00a0Northern Thantlang Special Region Forces<\/b>, and the\u00a0Karen National Defence Organization (KNDO)<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The following resistance fighters were injured during the battles:<\/p>\n

From Battalion 804: one fighter sustained shrapnel wounds to both thighs,<\/p>\n

From KNDO: one fighter suffered a broken arm; another sustained 60mm shell shrapnel injuries; a third was hit by a 40mm grenade, causing severe facial injuries,<\/p>\n

From Battalion 807: fighter A The sustained a gunshot wound to the lower leg, resulting in a bone fracture.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9\u00a02. Junta Troop Column Repelled Twice in Salin<\/b><\/p>\n

In\u00a0Salin Township, Magway Region<\/b>, junta forces that advanced through rural areas along the\u00a0Salin\u2013Sin Phyu Kyun Road<\/b>\u00a0were repelled\u00a0on two consecutive days<\/b>, according to the Salin Pa Ka Pha (People’s Defense Force).<\/p>\n

On\u00a0April 10<\/b>, at around 7:15 a.m., over 100 junta troops from the\u00a0Salin Town Police Station<\/b>\u00a0launched a column, which was intercepted by the Salin Pa Ka Pha near a frontline outpost. A confrontation followed.<\/p>\n

Later that afternoon, Salin PDF forces carried out a follow-up attack on the column, inflicting heavy casualties, forcing the junta troops to retreat back to their base in Salin.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0April 11<\/b>, the same junta column regrouped at\u00a0Lin Zin Police Station<\/b>\u00a0and resumed their offensive into nearby villages. However, they were again intercepted by local defense forces and had to withdraw by evening.<\/p>\n

The statement noted that\u00a0junta forces suffered heavy losses<\/b>\u00a0during the encounters, although the exact figures are still under investigation.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Pa Ka Pha in Kyunsu Township, Tanintharyi Region<\/b>, launched a surprise attack on a\u00a0Pyu Saw Htee stronghold<\/b>\u00a0located between\u00a0Thein\u2013Taung Kone<\/b>\u00a0in\u00a0Pa Tay Village<\/b>, part of the\u00a0Kywe Karyan Village Tract<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The attack occurred at around\u00a010:30 a.m. on April 12<\/b>, with the resistance forces opening fire on the base. Pyu Saw Htee troops responded using\u00a060mm heavy weapons<\/b>, according to the report.<\/p>\n

The clash lasted about\u00a025 minutes<\/b>, and\u00a0the Kyunsu Pa Ka Pha successfully retreated without casualties<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The statement indicated that\u00a0there may have been casualties on the Pyu Saw Htee side<\/b>, but confirmation is still pending.<\/p>\n

At around\u00a04:00 p.m. on the day before Thingyan<\/b>, a junta\u00a0military aircraft bombed the Myoma Nhit Chin Christian Church<\/b>\u00a0in\u00a0Mindat Town<\/b>, according to local sources.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt wasn\u2019t just clouds\u2014it was a large fireball and thick smoke,\u201d a local witness wrote, describing the aftermath of the airstrike.<\/p>\n

The church building was\u00a0destroyed<\/b>, but\u00a0casualty figures remain unconfirmed<\/b>\u00a0at this time.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9\u00a05. Woman Killed in Military Airstrike on Buddhist Monastery in Lelma Village, Tantse Township<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

At approximately 3:36 PM on April 13, two fighter jets from the military junta\u2019s Tada-U Air Force Base and Meiktila (Shante) Air Base conducted an aerial bombing on the Buddhist monastery in Lelma Village, Tantse Township, according to reports from Infantry Battalion No. 7 under Shwebo District.<\/p>\n

During the airstrike, a 30-year-old woman named Ma Pwarr Oo was killed instantly, while a 40-year-old man named U Nyol Lin sustained injuries, sources said.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9\u00a06. Four Civilians, Including a Child, Injured in Junta Airstrike on Kyauktaung on the Eve of Thingyan Festival<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

On April 13, the eve of Thingyan (Myanmar\u2019s traditional New Year festival), the military junta launched an aerial bombardment on Pyitawtha and Ywama wards in Kyauktaung, Rakhine State, injuring four civilians, including a child.<\/p>\n

According to Arakan Princess Media, at around 9:00 AM, a fighter jet dropped two 500-pound bombs on Pyitawtha Ward. The bombs exploded near Shwe Monastery.<\/p>\n

As a result of the blasts, three individuals were injured: 10-year-old Ma Chit Hnin Wai, 24-year-old Ma Oo Than May, and 27-year-old Ma Kyi Kyi Win.<\/p>\n

Additionally, six civilian homes were reportedly destroyed by the explosions, Arakan Princess Media stated.<\/p>\n

Similarly, at around 9:30 AM, two more 500-pound bombs were dropped on Ywama Ward, destroying five civilian houses, according to the news agency Niraungzaya.<\/p>\n

During this strike, 20-year-old Ma Oo Than Nwel was injured when her home collapsed due to the impact.<\/p>\n

At around 7:00 PM on April 13, three aerial bombardments were carried out by a fighter jet targeting Jotaw Village in Wuntho Township, Kawlin District, according to reports by Kawlin Info.<\/p>\n

One bomb struck directly inside Jotaw market, injuring one civilian. Additional bombs hit the northern section of the village and at the base of Taungma Gyi Hill, initial sources reported.<\/p>\n

Following this, the junta also shelled Myaungtaung Village, part of the Nyaung Pin Thar administrative tract in Wuntho Township, resulting in damage to the local Buddhist monastery and injuring the abbot.<\/p>\n

Similarly, at around noon on April 13, the junta carried out three airstrikes on Nyaung Kone Village in eastern Kawlin. One of the bombs struck an oil mill, injuring two civilians\u2014a man and a woman\u2014who were working there. The explosions also caused significant damage to buildings and vehicles in the area.<\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview with People\u2019s Spring News Agency, Salai Tin Maung, a spokesperson for the Chin National Front (CNF) and a member of the Chin Brotherhood Alliance, stated:
\u201cIf necessary, we are ready to march all the way to Naypyidaw.\u201d<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

He highlighted that young resistance fighters from the central regions such as Sagaing, Yaw, and Magway had traveled to the mountainous regions without concern for their own safety to participate in the battle for the liberation of Falam City\u2014a defining feature of the Spring Revolution that began in 2021.<\/p>\n

Salai Tin Maung explained that the Chin Brotherhood Alliance seeks to foster positive relations with neighboring revolutionary groups in border regions such as Sagaing, Yaw, Magway, and Rakhine, and is committed to ongoing cooperation with revolutionary forces stationed there.<\/p>\n

He further emphasized that, if needed, the Chin Brotherhood Alliance is prepared to deploy its fighters to central Myanmar in support of the broader revolutionary movement, with the goal of re-establishing a new Federal Union of Myanmar.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose who bear arms in central Myanmar are also fighting in the mountains. Fighting is happening everywhere. What I want the people to know is that the seeds of the people\u2019s revolution sown in 2021 are already bearing fruit in 2024 and 2025,\u201d said Salai Tin Maung.<\/p>\n

The ethnic revolutionary forces, including the Chin Brotherhood Alliance, reaffirmed that they are prepared to advance and engage in combat not only in their own ethnic regions but also wherever necessary\u2014including, if the situation demands, even advancing to Naypyidaw.<\/p>\n
