Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Reaffirms Recognition of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On April 9, during the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the IPU Executive Committee reaffirmed its recognition of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the 142nd IPU Assembly held in March 2021\u2014following the unlawful military coup in Myanmar\u2014the Inter-Parliamentary Union has recognized the CRPH as the legitimate parliamentary body representing the people of Myanmar. The decision allowed CRPH delegates to participate as observers in IPU assemblies, symbolizing international recognition of their representative legitimacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022, the CRPH representatives participated in IPU meetings virtually. From March 2023 onwards, starting with the 146th Assembly held in Manama, Bahrain, they have attended in person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This continued recognition by the IPU\u2014a global organization composed of over 180 national parliaments\u2014represents the international community\u2019s respect for the Myanmar people&#8217;s unwavering aspiration for democracy and their ongoing resistance against the illegitimate military regime, the CRPH stated in its official release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc<strong>&nbsp;2. According to verified data from the NUG Ministry of Human Rights, between March 28 and April 8 (2:00 PM), the junta carried out a total of&nbsp;<strong>92 air and heavy artillery attacks<\/strong>, resulting in the deaths of&nbsp;<strong>72 civilians<\/strong>, including&nbsp;<strong>6 children under the age of 18<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>30 women<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The regions most severely affected by these attacks included&nbsp;<strong>Sagaing Region and Mandalay Region<\/strong>, each hit 18 times during this period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the 92 total attacks, the junta conducted&nbsp;<strong>62 airstrikes<\/strong>&nbsp;across 11 townships, causing&nbsp;<strong>65 deaths<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>60 injuries<\/strong>.<br>Additionally,&nbsp;<strong>30 heavy artillery strikes<\/strong>&nbsp;were launched across 10 townships, leaving&nbsp;<strong>7 civilians dead<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>31 injured<\/strong>, according to the NUG&#8217;s report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>4.
