However, the KNU revealed today (<strong>April 4<\/strong>) that the junta&nbsp;<strong>immediately violated its own ceasefire declaration<\/strong>&nbsp;by launching artillery attacks on civilian areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On\u00a0<strong>April 2, at 5:00 PM<\/strong>, junta forces from\u00a0<strong>Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 350 and LIB 440<\/strong>\u00a0shelled\u00a0<strong>Nyaung Chay Htauk village, Shwe Kyin Township<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0<strong>81mm mortar rounds<\/strong>, damaging civilian homes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On\u00a0<strong>April 3, around 11:00 AM<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>LIB 351<\/strong>\u00a0fired artillery into\u00a0<strong>Nget Htoe Sut Village, Mu Township<\/strong>, injuring a\u00a0<strong>24-year-old woman<\/strong>\u00a0and destroying\u00a0<strong>two houses<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite declaring a ceasefire, the junta&nbsp;<strong>continued using airstrikes and drone bombings<\/strong>&nbsp;while civilians were still suffering from the earthquake&#8217;s devastation.
