\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 1. Airstrike on Nant Kha Village Clinic in Gangaw Kills 11, Including a Doctor\u2019s Family, and Injures 6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The military junta carried out an airstrike on the Nant Kha Village Clinic in Gangaw Township, Magway Region, resulting in the deaths of 11 people, including a doctor’s family, and injuring six others, according to local reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A fighter jet from the Meiktila Air Base bombed the clinic at around 8:30 AM on March 22<\/strong>. The attack killed three members of a doctor\u2019s family who were providing medical treatment and eight others who had come for consultations. Six people sustained injuries, according to reports from local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airstrike occurred during clinic hours when patients were receiving treatment. Among the victims, five were children, as confirmed by local residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of the attack, the village clinic was set on fire and destroyed, and nearby houses were also damaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 20<\/strong>, the military junta also conducted an airstrike on A Lel Ban Village in Htilin Township, despite the absence of any active fighting, killing four civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Gangaw and Htilin, which are part of the central dry zone, airstrikes in March alone<\/strong> have killed at least 20 civilians and injured nearly 40, according to records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Revolutionary Forces in the area have urged civilians to remain vigilant, as the military junta continues to reinforce its troops and conduct airstrikes in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. Clashes in Hpakant and Waingmaw, KIA Confirms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) has confirmed recent clashes between the junta forces and KIA-led resistance forces in Hpakant<\/strong> and Waingmaw<\/strong> Townships in Kachin State over the past few days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A battle took place near Kyauk Pya Village in Hpakant Township on March 22<\/strong>, while another occurred near La Myaing Village in Waingmaw Township on March 21<\/strong>, according to KIA’s statement released on March 22<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, clashes were reported near Lonbra Village on the Hpakant-Mogaung Road<\/strong>, involving KIA-led forces and the junta troops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, tensions remain high as junta forces, along with the Shan Ni Army (SNA) and pro-junta militias<\/strong>, are stationed in Lawar and Don Bhone Kha Villages<\/strong>, according to local residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The military junta has been conducting military operations and reinforcing its troops in Waingmaw since March 17<\/strong>, leading to the clashes, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, in Hukawng Region of Tanai Township<\/strong>, pro-junta militia leader Kyaw Thu Ya<\/strong> and his People’s Militia Force have been actively patrolling the area, interrogating locals, and extorting money, according to KIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The militia has also been recruiting new members, forcing elderly civilians to perform labor at military bases, and coercing young men into joining their ranks<\/strong>, reports indicate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. Attack on Military Checkpoint on Yangon-Pyay Highway Leaves 8 Soldiers Dead<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An attack on a military checkpoint in Minhla Township, along the Yangon-Pyay Highway<\/strong>, resulted in the deaths of eight junta soldiers<\/strong>, according to a statement from Battalion 3802, Division 2 of the Tharyarwaddy District military forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the attack, the junta imposed nighttime travel restrictions and issued a shoot-on-sight order, according to Yangon-based Khit Thit News<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack took place at midnight on March 20<\/strong>, near Oat Twin Village’s military checkpoint in Minhla Township<\/strong>, where resistance fighters from Battalion 3802 launched an assault on the military outpost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The firefight lasted approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes<\/strong>, leaving seven junta soldiers dead and six others wounded<\/strong>. One resistance fighter sustained minor injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the attack, the resistance forces seized one carbine rifle, 20 rounds of ammunition, and a motorcycle<\/strong>, and set fire to the checkpoint. However, only partial damage was reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the morning of March 21<\/strong>, resistance fighters also carried out a remotely detonated landmine attack<\/strong> on a junta security unit stationed at the checkpoint bunker, killing one soldier and injuring four others<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of the attacks, the junta has imposed a nighttime curfew from 6 PM to 6 AM<\/strong> on the Yangon-Pyay Highway since March 22<\/strong>, restricting civilian movement, according to local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to security concerns, junta forces at Infantry Battalion 1 in Sein Kan Lant Village, Minhla Township<\/strong>, have been building additional fortifications and reinforcing their perimeter defenses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resistance forces have warned civilians to avoid areas with junta military bases and checkpoints<\/strong>, as further attacks against junta forces and their collaborators are planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 4. Military Shelling on Kyaikto Township Monastery Kills One Monk, Injures Two Others<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Karen National Union (KNU)<\/strong> reported that the Myanmar military shelled a monastery in Khwe Village, Kyaikto Township, Mon State<\/strong>, resulting in the death of one monk and injuries to two others. The monastery also suffered structural damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack occurred at 9:30 AM on March 21<\/strong>, when junta troops stationed at Lapa Village in Waw Township<\/strong> fired a heavy artillery shell<\/strong> at the Khwe Village Monastery, located in KNU-controlled Du Thatu District, Kyaikto Township<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shell exploded upon impact, killing one senior monk and injuring two others<\/strong>, while also damaging the monastery buildings, according to KNU\u2019s statement released on March 23<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The military junta has been repeatedly targeting religious sites with both airstrikes and artillery shelling<\/strong>, committing heinous acts<\/strong> in the process, KNU added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
