The attack killed three members of a doctor\u2019s family who were providing medical treatment and eight others who had come for consultations. Six people sustained injuries, according to reports from local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airstrike occurred during clinic hours when patients were receiving treatment. Attack on Military Checkpoint on Yangon-Pyay Highway Leaves 8 Soldiers Dead<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>March 23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An attack on a military checkpoint in&nbsp;<strong>Minhla Township, along the Yangon-Pyay Highway<\/strong>, resulted in the deaths of&nbsp;<strong>eight junta soldiers<\/strong>, according to a statement from Battalion 3802, Division 2 of the Tharyarwaddy District military forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the attack, the junta imposed nighttime travel restrictions and issued a shoot-on-sight order, according to Yangon-based&nbsp;<strong>Khit Thit News<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack took place at&nbsp;<strong>midnight on March 20<\/strong>, near&nbsp;<strong>Oat Twin Village&#8217;s military checkpoint in Minhla Township<\/strong>, where resistance fighters from Battalion 3802 launched an assault on the military outpost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The firefight lasted&nbsp;<strong>approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes<\/strong>, leaving&nbsp;<strong>seven junta soldiers dead and six others wounded<\/strong>. One resistance fighter sustained minor injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the attack, the resistance forces seized&nbsp;<strong>one carbine rifle, 20 rounds of ammunition, and a motorcycle<\/strong>, and set fire to the checkpoint.
