March 22<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 15, a military column from Kha Ma Ya-309<\/strong>, departing from Katha, was attacked near Pan Taung Gyi and Pan Taung Lay hills<\/strong>, close to Pin Lut Village<\/strong>, located at the border of Katha Township and Intaw Township<\/strong> in Sagaing Region. The operation led to the capture of 54 firearms<\/strong>, according to an official statement released on March 22<\/strong> by the Ministry of Defense\u2019s People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF) Headquarters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 150-strong<\/strong> military column, led by Lieutenant Colonel Lin Htet<\/strong>, included forces from Kha Ma Ya-106, Kha Ma Ya-309, and Kha La Ya-6<\/strong>. The operation was coordinated by Military Region 1<\/strong> and executed by Ethnic Resistance Organizations (EROs) such as the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), Katha People\u2019s Defense Force (KPDF), Katha District Battalion-1, Moe Ta Town Pa Ka Pha, and Katha Township Pa Ka Pha<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack resulted in 33 enemy casualties, 10 wounded, and 31 captured<\/strong>. Additionally, the following weapons and equipment were seized from the enemy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PDF also reported the loss of two comrades<\/strong> who sacrificed their lives in the battle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. CNO\/CNDF Reports Gains in Fierce Battle for Falam Despite Intense Aerial Attacks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 22<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The battle to capture Falam<\/strong> in Chin State<\/strong>, led by Chin National Organization (CNO) and Chin National Defense Force (CNDF) along with allied forces<\/strong>, continues despite heavy airstrikes by the military junta<\/strong>. However, the Chin resistance alliance has achieved key victories<\/strong>, according to CNO\/CNDF Secretary-General Salai William Chin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a fundraising event held on March 22<\/strong> in support of the Falam offensive, he stated that although the junta has been relentlessly attacking from the air, the resistance forces have successfully seized strategic positions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNO\/CNDF officials indicated that specific military bases captured could not yet be disclosed<\/strong>, but confirmed that the resistance is advancing steadily<\/strong>. They also emphasized that the people of Chin State and the Chin ethnic community will soon be liberated<\/strong>, as frontline commanders and responsible personnel continue fighting alongside supportive civilians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While there have been casualties among allied forces<\/strong>, significant territorial gains have been made<\/strong>. CNO\/CNDF called for continued support for the Chin resistance and allied forces engaged in the battle for Falam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since mid-November 2024<\/strong>, the Chin resistance and its allies<\/strong> have been conducting simultaneous offensives to capture Falam and Mindat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mindat<\/strong> was successfully seized on December 21, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kanpetlet<\/strong> was also captured on December 22<\/strong>, after junta troops retreated overnight<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ongoing Falam offensive is a continuation of these operations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. KNDF Deputy Commander Reveals Seized Junta Prisoners and Ammunition in Fierce Bawlakhe Battle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the intensifying battle for Bawlakhe<\/strong>, captured junta prisoners and confiscated weapons and ammunition<\/strong> were publicly revealed through photographic evidence<\/strong> by KNDF Deputy Commander Mawwi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mawwi shared updates on the battle situation in Bawlakhe<\/strong> through his social media<\/strong> accounts on the nights of March 21 and March 22<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to photographs released on March 21<\/strong>, the resistance forces have seized:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

18 junta firearms of various types<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ammunition and military supplies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

7 captured junta soldiers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since March 19<\/strong>, the Karenni allied forces<\/strong> have been launching a major offensive on Bawlakhe<\/strong>, targeting key military junta positions<\/strong>. Between March 19 and March 21<\/strong>, intense battles resulted in casualties on both sides<\/strong>, according to military reports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A video released on March 22<\/strong> showed captured junta soldiers, some wounded, undergoing interrogation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mawwi also remarked:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Junta soldiers are fighting among themselves. Some are abandoning their comrades. Their own air force is bombing their positions. We\u2019re not surprised they bomb us, but we were shocked when they hit their own men.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to KNDF intelligence<\/strong>, Kha Ma Ya-515<\/strong>\u2014which falls under SAC’s Southern Command Division-2<\/strong>\u2014and Kha La Ya-1<\/strong>, operating under Pegu Region-based Military Division 66<\/strong>, are among the key junta forces stationed in Bawlakhe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta has also reinforced Bawlakhe<\/strong> with an additional 500 troops<\/strong>, bringing together:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kha Ma Ya-430<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 4. Junta Forces Intensify Daily Bombardment on Mobye to Reduce It to Ashes, Says Strategic Command No. 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Myanmar military junta has been conducting daily airstrikes and artillery shelling using incendiary bombs in an attempt to completely destroy Mobye, a town located on the Shan-Karenni border, according to a statement released by Shan South Military Subdivision Strategic Command No. 1 on March 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta has been attempting to regain control of Mobye, which is currently under the administration of allied revolutionary forces, by launching multi-pronged offensives with three separate military columns. Additionally, it has employed various warfare tactics, engaging in relentless assaults for approximately four months, the statement added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the beginning of March, the fighting has intensified, with daily clashes of varying scales between the junta forces and resistance groups. Due to significant losses on the battlefield, the junta has resorted to artillery shelling from its bases in Hpruso and Loikaw, airstrikes, and the deployment of attack drones, including Kamikaze drones, to target resistance forces, the report stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta\u2019s primary objective is to reduce Mobye to ashes, as evidenced by its use of incendiary bombs. The attacks have been launched daily from Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 422, resulting in the destruction of at least 30 civilian homes in the town, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the junta\u2019s large-scale offensive operations, resistance forces continue to maintain control over Mobye, the Shan South Military Subdivision reaffirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta’s efforts to reclaim Mobye have been marked by brutal and inhumane tactics, including the deliberate destruction of civilian homes, the report added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mobye is strategically located along the Pinlaung-Hpruso-Mobye-Loikaw highway, linking Shan South and Karenni regions. In 2023, the Karenni Joint Forces successfully captured the town through Operation 1111<\/strong>, securing control over the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to the junta\u2019s escalating offensive, the Shan South Military Subdivision Strategic Command No. 1, the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF), and other allied resistance groups<\/strong> continue to put up fierce resistance. Revolutionary forces are urging the public to contribute military, medical, and food supplies to support the ongoing defense effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 5. Yangon Drone Force and Four Yangon Resistance Groups Form Alliance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In pursuit of a common goal, the Yangon Drone Force and four Yangon-based resistance groups<\/strong> have officially formed an alliance, according to a statement released by the Yangon Resistance Alliance on March 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newly established alliance is committed to working together not only during the ongoing revolution but also in the post-revolutionary period to ensure national reconstruction and the well-being of the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the revolutionary struggle, the alliance pledges to support each other and serve the interests of the public, the statement added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As key forces actively engaged in urban resistance, the groups expressed their pride in uniting under a single coalition, recognizing the significance of collective strength in their ongoing fight against the junta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
