Interim President Duwa Lashi La stated that public opinions and suggestions have never been ignored. He made this remark during the first anniversary ceremony of the establishment of the “Support Fund” on March 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur revolutionary forces possess both strengths and weaknesses. Currently, we can see criticisms and accusations circulating among the public. However, I want everyone to know that we have never ignored the public\u2019s opinions and suggestions. At the same time, we cannot forget the faces of our fallen revolutionary comrades who sacrificed their lives and bodies for this cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to take this moment to issue a reminder: this is the time for us to consolidate our strength. Right now, the Prime Minister and I are both inside the country, facing numerous challenges while working together to ensure the success of this revolution,\u201d the Interim President stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, he reiterated that members of the National Unity Government (NUG) are actively preparing to re-establish their presence within the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Union Minister Dr. Win Myat Aye, who leads the Ministry of Humanitarian and Disaster Management, stated that the revolution must progress step by step and that they are striving to move forward at every stage. He made this remark during the first anniversary ceremony of the establishment of the “Support Fund” on March 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI want to emphasize that our revolution must advance step by step, and we are making every effort to progress at each stage. In every revolution, public support is of utmost importance. That is why we are continuously working to secure public backing and participation. To achieve this, we must take responsibility for assisting and protecting the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Support Fund has been providing essential aid, including food supplies, healthcare services, and educational support for displaced children. We take great pride in being able to contribute to these efforts,\u201d the Union Minister said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myanmar\u2019s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, asserted that crimes committed by the military regime must not be forgiven and that accountability must be upheld. He made this statement during the closing remarks of the CSW69 Side Event titled “Beijing Platform for Action 30+ Years and Beyond: A Critical Review and Future Directions for Myanmar.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe suffering endured by our people\u2014especially women and girls\u2014is immense and must never be forgotten. It is crucial to stress that crimes committed by the military regime must not be forgiven and that accountability must be ensured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the attendees of this event, we call on relevant governments and organizations to continue supporting our revolutionary efforts and those working on the ground, as well as to provide the necessary assistance,\u201d the Ambassador stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, he emphasized the critical need for sustained global attention and awareness regarding Myanmar\u2019s situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), a side event titled “Women’s Participation in Building Democracy and the Constitution in Myanmar”<\/strong> was organized by International IDEA on March 19<\/strong> at the United Nations Headquarters in New York<\/strong>. Chairperson of the International Relations Committee, Daw Myat Thet Thun<\/strong>, attended the discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, she highlighted the involvement of Myanmar women, including elected female parliamentarians<\/strong>, in peacebuilding and constitutional drafting<\/strong> during both the pre-coup period and the ongoing revolution. She also discussed women\u2019s roles in the education and healthcare sectors, assistance to displaced civilians, and international advocacy efforts<\/strong> to raise global awareness of Myanmar\u2019s crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) continues to advocate internationally through various means regarding Myanmar\u2019s situation. This includes exposing the atrocities committed by the military junta<\/strong>, ensuring effective humanitarian assistance for displaced civilians<\/strong>, and garnering international support for the establishment of a Federal Democratic Union in Myanmar<\/strong>, which the people of Myanmar are striving for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

International IDEA is a global partner organization that has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the CRPH<\/strong>. It collaborates closely with CRPH to support inclusive federal democratic nation-building, constitutional drafting processes, and the strengthening of democratic institutions<\/strong> in Myanmar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 5. Covert Protest in Lashio Opposing Chinese Government\u2019s Meddling and Calling for MNDAA to Hold Ground<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Lashio, Northern Shan State<\/strong>, a clandestine protest was staged against China\u2019s intervention<\/strong> and in support of the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) maintaining its position<\/strong> rather than retreating. On the night of March 20, at 9 PM<\/strong>, protestors posted leaflets and photographs<\/strong> throughout the city, urging China to cease its interference<\/strong> and calling for MNDAA not to withdraw<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protest was organized discreetly<\/strong> through community networks, with posters placed at Liberty Park, the Airport Roadside, in front of Battalion 626, the Township Administrative Office, Basic Education High School No. 8, Ward 5, festival sites, and near Lashio University\u2019s streetlights and electricity poles.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A protest leader stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We heard that on the 22nd, another meeting is planned between Kokang (MNDAA) and the SAC under China’s mediation. China\u2019s interference doesn\u2019t just impact Lashio residents\u2014it affects all ethnic armed groups nationwide. It sows division among our brothers who are resisting the junta. China is failing as a good neighbor and disregarding the people of Myanmar. They take whatever they want from us but ignore our suffering. We strongly demand that they stop exerting pressure on us and refrain from meddling in Myanmar\u2019s affairs. Locals in Lashio no longer wish to live under the military junta\u2019s rule. Under MNDAA\u2019s administration, we feel free and unafraid, which is why the people of Lashio want them to stay.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 21<\/strong>, Myanmar Events UK (MEUK)<\/strong> announced the official launch of the “Thingyan Water & Woon (New Year Production)” campaign<\/strong> to support the revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the project owner<\/strong>, MEUK stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Thingyan Water & Woon (New Year Production) campaign has officially begun. Since advanced productions are critically needed for the revolution, let\u2019s welcome the New Year by celebrating Thingyan Water & Woon together!”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign encourages unrestricted voluntary contributions<\/strong>, allowing supporters to donate any amount they can afford<\/strong> toward the production of MOD (Ministry of Defence) supplies<\/strong> needed for the revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
