\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 1. Military Junta Convoy from Katha to Inndaw Ambushed, Resulting in Its Disintegration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 17, Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A military convoy from Battalion 309<\/strong>, under Division 77<\/strong>, which was heading from Katha<\/strong> towards Inndaw<\/strong> for reinforcement, was intercepted and attacked by revolutionary forces, according to military sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The convoy, consisting of over 150 junta troops<\/strong>, came under attack, resulting in intense clashes from March 15 to midday on March 16<\/strong>. More than 40 junta soldiers were reportedly killed<\/strong>, while around 30 were captured alive<\/strong>, with many others wounded. The attack caused the disintegration of the convoy<\/strong>, forcing the troops to retreat back towards Katha<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operation was jointly carried out by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and People’s Defense Forces (PDFs)<\/strong>. The revolutionary forces also seized a significant amount of weapons and ammunition<\/strong> and are currently conducting territory-clearing operations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since August 2024<\/strong>, KIA, PDFs, and the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF)<\/strong> have been waging a campaign to capture Inndaw town<\/strong>. The resistance forces have successfully seized the junta’s outpost at Nabhar Junction, the military base at Nabhar Monastery in Nabhar Village, and the Inndaw police station<\/strong>, all of which were under the control of the junta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. Clashes Erupt in Villages Along Pathein-Monywa Road in Laymyethna Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 17, Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fierce clashes have erupted between junta troops and People’s Defense Forces (PDFs) in several villages along the Pathein-Monywa Road in Laymyethna Township<\/strong>, as reported by People’s Spring<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fighting started when junta forces launched an offensive towards the villages of Sak Sak Yo and Chin Hle<\/strong> after suspecting the presence of PDFs in nearby jungle areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the clashes, the junta blocked access to Yenantha Junction and Sak Sak Yo Junction in Yekyi Township on the morning of March 17<\/strong>. While Yenantha Junction was later reopened<\/strong>, Sak Sak Yo Junction remains blocked<\/strong>, prompting the Yekyi Township People’s Defense Group to issue a warning for residents to be cautious<\/strong> when traveling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the 344th Artillery Battalion<\/strong> has been reinforced with additional troops<\/strong> and is actively digging new bunkers<\/strong>. This battalion is known to provide artillery support to ongoing battles in Thabaung Township<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. Junta Attacks Nyaung Jit Pin Pyu Village in Pakokku with Rockets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 17, Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bamarhti Heavy Artillery Disruptive Unit<\/strong> has reported that the Myanmar military launched a rocket attack on Nyaung Jit Pin Pyu Village in Pakokku Township, Magway Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 16, at around 1:00 PM<\/strong>, junta forces stationed in the village were targeted with 10 rocket artillery rounds<\/strong>, of which seven successfully hit their targets and detonated<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The explosions struck junta buildings and defensive structures<\/strong>, causing significant damage. While the exact casualties remain under investigation, reports indicate that multiple junta troops were injured or killed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack was jointly carried out by resistance forces<\/strong>, including the Pakokku-based Pa Ka Pha, Bamarhti, Ko Soe Gyi Group, the People’s Liberation Coalition (PLC), Black Cobra Force Pakokku, Kamma Joint Forces, and local Pa Ka Pha units<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 13<\/strong>, similar airborne attacks were carried out in Myaing Township<\/strong>, where the junta\u2019s Twing Ma Pyu Outpost was bombed nine times using three RC planes<\/strong>, resulting in junta casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 4. Junta Airstrike on Lat Pan Hla Village Kills Three Women<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 17, Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 17, at around 7:00 PM<\/strong>, the Myanmar military launched an airstrike on Lat Pan Hla Village in Sintgaing Township<\/strong>, killing three women and injuring six others<\/strong>, according to local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A jet fighter bombed the creek area northeast of the Lat Pan Hla Village Sunflower Mill<\/strong>. As a result, three civilians lost their lives, and six others were wounded<\/strong>. Emergency medical assistance is being provided to the injured,” said Ko Than Mani, a spokesperson for Sintgaing Township Pa Ka Pha<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 5. SAC Airstrike on Sintgu North Village Kills Four, Including a Six-Month-Old Infant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SAC military carried out an airstrike on Sintgu North Village in Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region, killing four civilians, including a six-month-old infant, according to Battalion 15 of Shwebo District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack occurred on the night of March 16<\/strong>, at 10:13 PM and 10:19 PM<\/strong>, when SAC air forces dropped three bombs from the air despite the absence of any ongoing clashes in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victims included a six-month-old infant, an 85-year-old grandmother, an 82-year-old grandfather, and a woman in her 30s<\/strong>. Additionally, six other civilians sustained injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A local witness who saw the aftermath of the attack stated to The Voice of Wetlet Madayar<\/em>:
“I feel so sorry for the baby. I don\u2019t even know if the mother has lost her mind. Last night, she was just cradling the baby and wailing nonstop.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 6. Two YGF Resistance Fighters Martyred in Battle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 17, Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dawn Column (2) Yaw Guerrilla Force (YGF)<\/strong> of the People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/strong> has announced that two of its resistance fighters sacrificed their lives in the battle against the military dictatorship and for the establishment of a federal democratic nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 25<\/strong>, YGF reported that Comrade Zarny (a.k.a. Zarny Kyaw) and Comrade Lin Lin (a.k.a. Min Mon)<\/strong> heroically laid down their lives while courageously fighting on the frontlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YGF expressed deep respect for their ultimate sacrifice and pledged to continue the revolution until its objectives are fully achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 7. Drug Trafficker Arrested with 5,200 WY Tablets in Sintgaing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A drug dealer was apprehended with 5,200 WY methamphetamine tablets<\/strong> in Sintgaing Township, Mandalay Region<\/strong>, according to the local People\u2019s Defense Force (Pa Ka Pha)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acting on intelligence, the Pa Ka Pha unit<\/strong> of Sintgaing Township, under direct orders from its leadership, conducted a raid on March 14<\/strong> at the suspect\u2019s residence in Nattaw Village, where they successfully seized the contraband and arrested the trafficker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The arrested individual has been handed over to the Sintgaing Township Administrative Office<\/strong> for further legal proceedings. Authorities have also launched an ongoing investigation to identify and apprehend other individuals involved in the drug trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Efforts will continue to combat crime and drug-related activities<\/strong> in Sintgaing Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 8. One Pyu Saw Htee Member and Two Forced Recruits Defect to Nat Soldier Forces<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Pyu Saw Htee militia member<\/strong> and two individuals who had been forcibly recruited by the SAC military have defected to Nat Soldier Forces<\/strong>, a battalion under Battalion 3801, Division (3)<\/strong> in Tharyarwaddy District, Bago Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two individuals who had been forcibly conscripted and detained at the Innma Recruitment Center<\/strong> sought help from Nat Soldier Forces<\/strong>, prompting a rescue operation in collaboration with the Shwe Taung Pa Ka Pha unit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, a Pyu Saw Htee militia member from Thapyaypone Pyu Village in Nattalin Township<\/strong> defected with 7.62mm ammunition<\/strong> and joined Nat Soldier Forces<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All three defectors have committed to joining the resistance forces to fight against the SAC military. They are currently under protective custody and being well cared for<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
