\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 1. Myanmar Ambassador to the UN Meets Ko Htein Lin, Son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 15<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ko Htein Lin, the youngest son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, who is currently in the United States for the Suu 80th Birthday Campaign<\/em>, visited the Myanmar Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York today and met with Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, according to sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting at the Myanmar Mission to the UN, Ko Htein Lin presented the ambassador with a commemorative calendar published for Suu 80th Birthday<\/em>, as confirmed by those accompanying him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun inquired about Ko Htein Lin’s ongoing activities and expressed his wishes for the campaign\u2019s success, stating that he would provide any necessary assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 13, Ko Htein Lin also participated in a UN event at the UN Headquarters in New York, where he emphasized the issue of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)<\/em> among women and children affected by the ongoing conflict in Myanmar. Additionally, he discussed in detail the number of people in urgent need of humanitarian assistance and Myanmar\u2019s current situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this trip, Ko Htein Lin has been prioritizing efforts to secure the release of all unjustly detained political prisoners, including his mother, and to ensure that conflict-affected civilians in Myanmar receive immediate humanitarian aid. He has also met with Myanmar diaspora members and supporters in the U.S. to discuss ways to assist these efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A public gathering as part of the Suu 80th Birthday Campaign<\/em> is scheduled for today, March 15. Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, Minister Naw Susanna Hla Hla Soe (in charge of Women, Youth, and Children\u2019s Affairs), Dr. Sean Turnell (Daw Aung San Suu Kyi\u2019s former economic advisor), and Ko Htein Lin will be among the attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 2. Report on Human Rights Violations by the Military Junta in February 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 15<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Unity Government (NUG)\u2019s Ministry of Human Rights has documented a total of 604<\/strong> human rights violations committed by the military junta in February 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sagaing Region recorded the highest number of violations, with 124<\/strong> documented cases, including 68<\/strong> airstrikes, making it the most heavily targeted area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ministry has systematically recorded additional data on casualties and destruction resulting from these violations. Detailed information can be accessed via the ministry\u2019s infographics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Human Rights remains committed to upholding equality, peace, and justice for all people and is actively working to ensure accountability for the junta\u2019s crimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 3. Resistance Forces Intercept Military Convoy Returning from Shwebo, Seizing Cooking Oil Supplies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

March 15<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF) of Shwebo Township<\/em> reported that resistance forces intercepted and attacked a military convoy returning from Shwebo with supplies, seizing containers of cooking oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to sources, a military unit of approximately 50 troops<\/strong> transported supplies from villages in Pyusawhti<\/em>-controlled areas such as Zee Phyu Kone, Pan Yan, and Zee Kone Lay<\/strong> in three military trucks. Upon receiving intelligence, resistance forces launched an ambush on March 14 at around 3:40 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack took place along the Shwebo-Ye U Road<\/em>, lasting over an hour. One of the junta\u2019s military trucks veered off the road and into a roadside ditch, forcing the soldiers to flee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the attack, resistance forces seized a supply truck carrying six 10-gallon containers of cooking oil<\/strong> and several plastic containers<\/strong> of additional supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While casualties were reported among the junta\u2019s troops, the exact number could not be independently verified. The resistance forces later set fire to the truck that had crashed into the roadside ditch to prevent retrieval by the military.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operation was led by the Shwebo PDF Battalion Commander<\/em> and carried out by Shwebo PDF Offensive Force (PDO)<\/strong> in coordination with multiple allied groups, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
