The Acting President stated during the National Unity Government’s 2\/2025 cabinet meeting that reforms to the “Three Pillars” should not be delayed and should go beyond mere surface-level changes.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe foundation of the revolution is the people. These people interact daily with our \u2018Three Pillars\u2019 mechanism. To gain strong public support and trust, the capacity and ethics of the organizations directly interacting with the public under the \u2018Three Pillars\u2019 are of utmost importance. Hence, the integrity and uprightness of the People\u2019s Defense Force, People\u2019s Administration, and People\u2019s Security Force, which make up the \u2018Three Pillars,\u2019 are critically significant.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
In implementing reforms to these \u2018Three Pillars,\u2019 we must not delay. Furthermore, such reforms should be comprehensive and go beyond minimal efforts,\u201d the Acting President emphasized.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Additionally, the Acting President underscored the need to establish a practical united front with ethnic alliance groups to strengthen relationships effectively.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The meeting was attended by Acting President Duwa Lashi La, Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than, union ministers, and deputy ministers.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He highlighted that there have been reports of certain township officials deviating from revolutionary goals, particularly in administrative and financial sectors. Thus, firm action must be taken, the Prime Minister said.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He further stated that driving the National Unity Government forward with full strength is essential to energize and sustain the revolution.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He stated, \u201cThe government will implement this plan in January, where ministers, deputy ministers, and regional leaders will gather to work and directly engage with the public.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Currently, the Sagaing Region sees frequent clashes between the military junta, Pyusawhti militias, People\u2019s Defense Forces (PDF), and revolutionary forces. Although most areas are controlled by revolutionary forces, airstrikes remain a persistent threat.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The NUG government is working to permanently end the military dictatorship in Myanmar and prevent its return, said U Lin Thant, NUG Representative to the Czech Republic, in January.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“Some people associate NUG only with the revolution, without fully understanding what NUG is doing. Others amplify minor shortcomings and criticize them, focusing more on blaming NUG than working to topple the military dictatorship, which only benefits the regime. Let me make this clear: what NUG is doing aligns with the functions of a government. Our work aims to permanently eradicate the military dictatorship in Myanmar, ensuring it never resurfaces, and to bring the revolution to a swift and successful conclusion. The outcomes of these efforts will benefit all Myanmar citizens, regardless of whether they currently support NUG or not,” he said.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The event will also include the sale of revolutionary memorabilia, Myanmar food stalls, and a fundraising fair. Additionally, ID cards will be issued to members of the MFDMC (Myanmar Federal Democratic Military Council) who have served for over six months.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The protest, calling for justice against Min Aung Hlaing’s crimes and urging the ICC to take action, is scheduled to take place on January 28 at Bucheon Station Square.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
