 <\/p>\n

We want 3 F<\/p>\n

1st \u2013 We want FREEDOM.
We want “Freedom” for our future \u2026<\/p>\n

2nd \u2013 We want FRIENDSHIP.
We want “Friendship” between
Our Army and Our People \u2026<\/p>\n

3rd \u2013 We want FOOD.
We want “Food” to live peacefully.<\/p>\n

About the author \u2013 Aung Way (contemporary Myanmar poet), born 1954, became poet 1982, 3 times in prison \u2013 1976-79, 1988, 1989-91.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Now he wrote this poem at one year anniversary of Saffron Revolution from Lansing, Michigan where he is now spending his time in exile alone.<\/p>\n

(The sound “Oway” is the sound of a peacock, the symbol of Burmese student’s activism and also the sign of struggle for freedom and independence of Burma. The sign of peacock in widely used in the flags of opposition parties and organizations)<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Down with the dictatorship \u2013 “Our cause”<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Democracy & Human Rights \u2013 “Our cause”<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Towards the People Government \u2013 “Our cause” *<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1st Male \u2013 From 8th<\/sup> August 1988 People Uprising To Saffron Revolution \u2026<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Chorus \u2013 We all march together with the spirit of fighting peacock, we all defeat the enemy \u2026 “Oway”<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

1st Female \u2013 88 spirit to merge with Saffron Revolution<\/p>\n

1st Male \u2013 No more prisons, arrests and tortures<\/p>\n

Chorus \u2013 Our mother breed us, then the prisons feed us, our cause shall succeed “Oway”<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Aung Way is a contemporary poet from Burma, now in exile after the Saffron revolution where he took part in to support the boycott of the monks. His poem \u2013 “3 F” was one of the famous poem urged the Burmese people to join the cause of the monks back in September 2007<\/p>\n
