{"id":384,"date":"2011-12-17T04:33:39","date_gmt":"2011-12-17T04:33:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/moemaka.org\/wp\/?p=384"},"modified":"2011-12-17T04:33:39","modified_gmt":"2011-12-17T04:33:39","slug":"walking-through-the-wonderland-by-junior-win","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/moemaka.net\/eng\/2011\/12\/walking-through-the-wonderland-by-junior-win\/","title":{"rendered":"Walking through the Wonderland by Junior Win"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">Products from all over the country were found there \u2013 mats, trays,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">fruits, dried fish, boxes made of cane or bamboo or palm leaves, bags\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">and hand-woven textiles in colorful patterns and tha-na-kha(Burmese\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">women&#8217;s favorite natural make-up) and so on. This part of the festival\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">grounds was, for me, a wonderland! Where I may wander and browse for\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">hours and come away finally loaded with pretty little things.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">There were rows of food stalls and I could try varieties of Burmese\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">snacks. I could not help to try a mohn-hin-gar a dish with hot thick\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">fish soup or a dish of Burmese noodles with chicken curry and so many\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">Burmese dishes along the pagoda ground. By smelling their sweet\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">smells, I did not want to miss it. As I walked through the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">never-ending food fare paradise, the air was thick with heavy smell of\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">frying. I also tried a grand carnival of crispies or pan-cakes or\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">gourd crispies with green lettuce celery and sauce of tamarind pulp<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">and hot chillies. Oh! What a taste!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">I also saw the temporary roof made with strong cloth which was for\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">Burmese show \u2013 Burmese ZatPwe (an entertainment of music, song and\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">dances) which attracted people to watch it the whole night.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">Cripses and snacks were plentiful on the festival grounds. I took some\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">of them home to eat. Some were best eaten on the spot. I was happy to\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">wander around the festival grounds never boring watching colorful\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">things all-around me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-evrHpfQOEVc\/TuqaFNSzO2I\/AAAAAAAAAcY\/lyA2fbqS0T4\/s320\/aa-716191.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"320\" height=\"82\" \/><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">There was MoeKaung Pagoda Festival held from 9t December of 2011 to\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; text-align: left\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">17th December of 2011 in Rangoon. People became crowded after 6:00PM,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial,Tahoma,Helvetica,FreeSans,sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">so I chose early time to see the festival.
