Now we become more aware of the importance of the  Union day than before. We also understand better how we teach and tell  our children about Bogyoke Aung San, the father of Union. It is our duty  that we have to relay what we have learnt to our children in this  important ceremony. Being able to organize the event through  difficulties, we more realize how we should maintain and protect our  spirits and Union, an inheritance from Bogyoke against possible  dangers\u201d, a mother attended to the event expressed her feelings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.15; text-indent: 0pt; color: #000000; direction: ltr; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri; padding-bottom: 10pt\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana\">There  was a stage quiz show for children in the ceremony. It is reported that the organizers had to negotiate repeatedly and faced  many obstacles to obtain the permission for the ceremony site in which,  to hold the event, hence they could not make it widely known to Burmese  in Singapore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.15; text-indent: 0pt; color: #000000; direction: ltr; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri; padding-bottom: 10pt\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana\">A  friend of Moemaka told that this is the first ceremony ever organized  in Singapore regarding Burma history. The desired banner for the event  \u201cBirthday of Bogyoke Aung San\u201d was not allowed by Singapore authority.  So, we had to use the co-banner read \u201cThe Union Day and Bogyoke\u2019s  Birthday.\u201d The shows of national costumes and music concert of ethnic  nationalities brought the celebration alive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.15; text-indent: 0pt; color: #000000; direction: ltr; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri; padding-bottom: 10pt\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana\">As  far as Moemaka could inquire, Singapore government granted the  permission for the celebration only at the last minute. \u201cMoeMaKa  world-wide readers did not, in advance, learn of the event as being  Saturday in Singapore when the invitation was posted in Ywa-Saw-Gyi  section of its blog\u201d, said informants from Singapore.
