{"id":327,"date":"2011-02-16T07:20:12","date_gmt":"2011-02-16T07:20:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/moemaka.org\/wp\/?p=327"},"modified":"2011-02-16T07:20:12","modified_gmt":"2011-02-16T07:20:12","slug":"regimes-usdp-parliaments-appointed-usdps-president-thein-sein","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/moemaka.net\/eng\/2011\/02\/regimes-usdp-parliaments-appointed-usdps-president-thein-sein\/","title":{"rendered":"Regime\u2019s USDP Parliaments appointed USDP\u2019s President- Thein Sein"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"line-height: 1.15; text-indent: 0pt; color: #000000; direction: ltr; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Trebuchet MS; padding-bottom: 10pt\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana\">It is learnt that two other Vice-Presidents are Thiha Thura Tin Aung Myint Oo, from the military, and Dr. Sai Mauk Kham of USDP.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.15; text-indent: 0pt; color: #000000; direction: ltr; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Trebuchet MS; padding-bottom: 10pt\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana\">Many  are interested in observing how current Burmese junta chief  Senior-General Than Shwe and his deputy Maung Aye will be involved or  how they will pull the strings in these newly founded parliaments and  its government.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.15; text-indent: 0pt; color: #000000; direction: ltr; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Trebuchet MS; padding-bottom: 10pt\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana\">There  is widespread speculation that Lt-Gen Myint Aung and Lt-Gen Ko Ko, who  both remained in the military when junta generals were retired before  the last year poll and are still holding their ranks, are likely to be  appointed to the posts of commander-in-chief and deputy  commander-in-chief respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.15; text-indent: 0pt; color: #000000; direction: ltr; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Trebuchet MS; padding-bottom: 10pt\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana\">Burmese  political observers commented that due to the protocol, that the rank  of Seniorr-Geneneral Than Shwe and Vice Snr-Gen Maung Aye is low for  powerto take the posts of commander-in-chief and deputy  commander-in-chief, under the defense minister in the forthcoming  so-called civilian government. Holding the position of  Prime minister appointed by current regime\u2019s War Council, Thein Sein, an  ex-general, ran in the last year election for the Union Solidarity and  Development Party (USDP).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.15; text-indent: 0pt; color: #000000; direction: ltr; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Trebuchet MS; padding-bottom: 10pt\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana\">It  is a matter to keep watch how he will form a government, and who will  occupy the minister posts in the Cabinet.
