\u00a0On the afternoon of 16<\/span>th<\/span> January, the South California Burmese Association (committee for development of the Burmese language) hosted a fund raiser and variety dance show to mark the first anniversary of its language class at Aung Zay pavilion in L.A city.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the performances of solo dance of students from the Burmese language class, Karen Don Yein( Karen traditional choral dance), modern Burmese songs, western songs, dances of students\u2019 parents and Anyein Show (performance of female dancers supported by comedians), the occasion was well attended and successful celebrated.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is also reported that the South California Burmese association started to open its Burmese class in January, 2010, and six volunteer teachers have been teaching Burmese for 4 hours every Sunday. There are about 40 students learning in the class. Besides, the association is also running other basic sport training for table-tennis and ground-tennis.<\/span><\/p>\n
