    On November 12, Acting President Duwa Lashi La tweeted his congratulations to East Timor and the president, which has become the 11th<\/sup>\u00a0member of ASEAN.<\/p>\n

    \u201cMy warmest Congratulations to President Jose Ramos Horta and Timor-Leste in becoming the 11th<\/sup>\u00a0member of the ASEAN family.\u201d Acting President Duwa Lashi La said.<\/p>\n

    ASEAN has agreed in principle to admit East Timor, which has a population of just over 1.3 million people, as the 11th<\/sup>\u00a0member.<\/p>\n

    \u201cCongratulations, Timor-Leste, in principle, in becoming the 11th<\/sup>\u00a0member of the ASEAN family.\u201d Foreign Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung tweeted.<\/p>\n

    Daw Ei Thinzar Maung, Deputy Minister of Women, Youths and Children Affairs, said during the Introductory Conversation of the Great Exodus online live show held on November 11 to support people displaced by war.<\/p>\n

    \u201cSometimes, when we are oppressed so much, we forget that our country is still under a military dictatorship. We need to always keep that in mind. Dictators are trying to bring about normalcy, so we sometimes forget to resist the dictatorship.\u201d Deputy Minister Daw Ei Thinzar Maung said.<\/p>\n

    The terrorist military group has detained over ten thousand people and killed over two thousand.<\/p>\n

    Three junta outposts in the Bago KNLA Battalions 9 and 7 territory\u2014Bawkahtar outpost, Tonetakar outpost, and Thanseih outpost\u2014were raided and occupied by the KNLA and joint forces<\/h5>\n

    The Bago People\u2019s Defense Force (BPDF-Yoma), Battalion-3702 of Bago Division, claimed that the KNLA and allied forces attacked and occupied the military outposts starting at 4:00 a.m. on November 12.<\/p>\n

    It states, \u201cThe KNLA and allied forces raided and occupied three military outposts in KNLA Battalions 9 and 7 territory in Bago Division: Bawkahtar outpost, Tonetakar outpost, and Thanseih outpost, starting at 4:00 a.m. on November 12.\u201d<\/p>\n

    The military junta launched air strikes from 7:00 p.m. to 9:45 a.m. by using three fighter jets and a helicopter.<\/p>\n

    On November 12, the Bo Linn Yone Unit, the Pyin Oo Lwin District People\u2019s Defense Force (PaKaPha), confirmed the military news that a major and four Pyu (pro-junta militia) members were killed in close combat between the Bo Linn Yone Unit and the military council troops in Inn Zauk Gyi Village, Singu Township, Mandalay Division.<\/p>\n

    It states, \u201cWe attacked the military ships sailing down from Takaung with a 60-mm long-range weapon when they arrived between Tha Yet Kone Village and Than Bo Valley, but were only able to shoot once due to the fire returned by the military troops on the ship. After that, the military ships sailed down, and when our comrades on the other side of the river were in Inn Zauk Gyi Village, the military council troops entered the village under the guise of the PDF, and a close combat with the defense forces took place.\u201d<\/p>\n

    During the combat, four Pyu (pro-junta militia) members were killed on the spot, and Major Zaw Htet Aung died while being treated at Kyauk Gyi Hospital with two bullets penetrating his pelvis.<\/p>\n

    The number of houses and buildings unjustly sealed off and confiscated by the junta has surpassed 786<\/h5>\n

    On November 11, the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) released a report that from the time of the military coup to the end of October 2022, at least 786 houses and buildings had been sealed off by the junta.<\/p>\n

    According to the statement of the National League for Democracy (NLD), the houses and buildings of senior executives, party members, and parliamentarians of the NLD Party have been unjustly sealed off by the junta.<\/p>\n
