    In the evening of October 21, Acting President Duwa Lashi La tweeted, \u201cThe junta\u2019s money laundering, terrorism, and financial mismanagement bring instability and destruction. Following the FATF blacklisting of Myanmar, the NUG recommits to building a better future for our people, in cooperation with international institutions.\u201d<\/p>\n

    After the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Plenary on October 21, it was announced that Myanmar has been added to the FATF\u2019s high-risk jurisdictions list, often referred to as the \u201cblack list\u201d. It is stated that Myanmar has been added to the blacklist due to its failure to combat money laundering and lack of reform.<\/p>\n

    The Ministry of Education, the National Unity Government launches the Myanmar Education System (MES) platform<\/h5>\n

    On October 22, the Ministry of Education of the National Unity Government introduced the Myanmar Education System (MES) platform that includes a security system.<\/p>\n

    Daw Ja Htoi Pan, Deputy Minister of Education, posted, \u201cWhether it is to register for the online course or to register for the Basic Education Completion Assessment (BECA), the Ministry of Education has introduced the Myanmar Education System (MES) platform to keep students\u2019 data safe and secure.\u201d<\/p>\n

    He said, \u201cThere have been examples in the past of terrorist military treating people like chickens and killing them arbitrarily in order to maintain their power and for the benefit of their descendants. When there is a political crisis, it is the old way of the military leaders to throw bombs in the middle of the public and point the finger at others. As for the People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF), revolutionary forces, and ethnic allies, they are making sure there is zero percent harm to the people. As for the terrorist military regime, we need to be mindful of the fact that they are sacrificing not only the people but also their subordinates arbitrarily.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Recently, the terrorist military council has shifted the blame onto the revolutionary forces for the shooting near Kyaik Htee Yoe Pagoda and also made the allegation that the People\u2019s Defense Forces were responsible for the explosions at the Yangon Insein Prison.<\/p>\n

    U Kyaw Moe Tun, Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the United Nations, stated at the General Discussion under Agenda Item 68: Promotion and Protection of Human Rights at the Third Committee of the 77th<\/sup>\u00a0Session of UNGA on October 21.<\/p>\n

    \u201cSince the attempted coup, the military has repeatedly committed massacres. The massacre on 24 December 2021 was one of the most tragic when more than 38 people, including women and children, were arrested, shot and burned in their cars by the terrorist military in Hpruso Township, Karenni (Kayah) State.\u201d\u2014 Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun stated.<\/p>\n

    Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun reiterated that in an era full of global challenges, it is important for UN member states to adhere to the basic principles of the UN Charter, and that they should work together to protect and promote human rights without difference and discrimination.<\/p>\n

    On October 22, the Justice Soldiers PDF, a revolutionary force in Karen Region, announced as follows: \u201cA military helicopter fired 20 air strikes into the village with the intention of dividing the local residents and the revolutionary forces in Karen State. They also fired 120 mm artillery shells into the village, including a temple and a monastery, from their base on the hill of Thingan Nyinaung. Is this what they said of unity or religion?\u201d<\/p>\n

    On October 21, clashes took place in Kawkareik Township, Karen State, between the KNLA allied forces and the military junta troops. The junta force conducted 56 airstrikes, but only the junta force suffered casualties.<\/p>\n
