Doing harm to those who wear the Red Cross emblem or the humanitarian aid emblem on the battlefield is a serious violation of international humanitarian law,\u201d \u2014 the Union Minister said.<\/p>\n<p>During the fighting in Shan State, the junta troops targeted ambulances on the front lines and arrested and tortured volunteers.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h5 id=\"NEWS02\" class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\">Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe warns all the perpetrators, the terrorist military dictators, to be ready to face the judgement of the public<\/h5>\n<p>The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management released a statement which said that 118.16 million kyats was spent on humanitarian aid including, IDPs.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, those funds were spent during August: 87.89 million for vulnerable people, 37.49 million for the dead and injured, 1.65 million for CDM staff, 5.5 million for those affected by natural disasters, and 13.66 million for general humanitarian aid.<\/p>\n<p>The aid was arranged to reach the people who were suffering from the disaster despite the various obstacles of the military. The NUG\u2019s Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management is providing support to the people whose properties were burnt by the coup terrorist military, the people who fled the offensive attacks of the terrorist military, family members of those who were injured and lost their lives while participating in the revolution, vulnerable groups including the disabled, the victims of natural disasters, and those in need of humanitarian assistance for various reasons.<\/p>\n<h5 id=\"NEWS03\" class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\">The number of people who fled the war in Rakhine State increased to 60,000 and they are in need of humanitarian aid<\/h5>\n<p>At the press conference on September 19, ULA\/AA spokesperson Khaing Thukha said, \u201cIn the past, there were people who fled the war and returned to their home villages, and they became IDPs when the military troops in the villages burned down their houses. Now, with additional IDPs, the total is over sixty thousand. They are suffering from deprivation of adequate shelter, food, and health services. They need help.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also added that due to the landmines planted by the terrorist army, landmine explosions in Rakhine State have occurred 16 times in three months, killing 6 civilians and injuring 14 others.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to this, at the press conference on September 18, Khaing Thukha said, \u201cThe inhumane army is fighting every day in Rathedaung, Maungdaw, and Paletwa. They are arbitrarily firing heavy weapons in the villages where the base camps are located. They are setting fire to the barn to get rid of mice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Due to the intrusion of the terrorist army in Rakhine State, resurgence battles are taking place in Paletwa Township, Maungdaw Township, and Rathedaung.
