Such news outbreaks encouraged Rangoon\u2019s residents to come out and gather in front of Insein Prison where Burmese opposition leader was held for court appearance behind closed door. Many bystanders and witnesses found themselves in road blocks and heavy security checks by the armed security forces around Insein Prison. <\/span><\/p>\n

Some witnesses told that it was the usual scare tactic of the Junta to prevent people from gathering and approaching the court session. U Win Tin, one of the opposition leaders of her political party was seen with his followers around the area sitting on the pavement of the main street.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Tuesday, May 19, state run media officially informed Burmese public of the trial on Daw Aung San Suu Kyi accusing her of violating her house arrest where the news initially was blanketed out by the Burmese junta. <\/span><\/p>\n

However the news had already been spread through foreign media and internet and it had already moved international community with concerned reactions. <\/span><\/p>\n

It was followed by the statement from the ASEAN urging the Burmese regime to release her from captivity. <\/span><\/p>\n
