\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>It was during the time while the storm advisory was issued and the rain was pouring heavily. All the farmers were worried by the surrounding situation and still they were more fearful of the unlawful arrest and abuse of power by the local authority, they had to come up with 50 people per village to work in \u201cMyo Ma\u201d football field as \u201cvoluntary laborers\u201d. They came with their own packed meals to work in the field for free without any compensation.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>To raise the fund for this Donation Ceremony, all the local residences from the town and surrounding villages were forced to buy \u201cDonation Ticket\u201d with Kyat 2000 each (US$ 2.00 per ticket).\u00a0 <\/span>And furthermore, the local authority asked every household to donate Kyat 10,000 (US$ 10.00) for the event. Some village groups had to come up with teak and bamboo beams to support building materials for the project.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>This so-called \u201cDonation Ceremony\u201d was twisted with the cost of all troubling villagers and residences from the area under the name of State and the local regimes instruments were expecting big rewards from the junta. Right now all the people from all walks of life from Yay Kyi Township were suffering physically, mentally and financially due to this so-called \u201cState sponsored Donation Ceremony\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>It was announced that there would be Donation Ceremony for 100 Monks at Yay Kyi Township in Delta Region on 23rd<\/sup> April 2009. The donor was to be U Zaw Zaw from Myanmar Soccer Association.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>However, U Maung Maung Tin (General Secretary of local Pyi Khai Phyoe aka Kyant Phont, a Burmese military regime\u2019s instrument organization), U Htay Naing (local official from Township\u2019s municipal office) and other local authorities issued an order to all the local residences in the area which encompassed of 99 villages to setup tents and stages in the designated football field.<\/p>\n
