Political Prisoners in Myitkyina Prison blocked from visit with family members<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n MoeMaKa Reporter 003<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n April 6th<\/sup> 2009<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Burmese political prisoners in Myitkyina prison located in remote town at far north of Burma who used to have 2 times a moth permission to see their family members were now limited to once a month visit without any notice or proper explanation from the prison authority.<\/span><\/p>\n A group of political prisoners refused to accept their food and necessity parcels delivered from their family members. It was regarded as a sign of complaint towards the unfairness of the prison authority. It was told that other prisoners were allowed to have two times a month visits from their home without any objection according to their family members.<\/span><\/p>\n Some prison officials tried to get some bribe by lying to family members that they could be able to arrange more family visits to prisons and relocation of prisoners to some prisons nearer to their home town.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cEveryone is demanding release all political prisoners except Burmese military junta and those corrupted prison authority in Burma \u2026\u201d told one audience of MoeMaKa.<\/span><\/p>\n There are 2 thousand over political prisoners in Burma.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Political Prisoners in Myitkyina Prison blocked from visit with family members MoeMaKa Reporter 003 April 6th 2009 Burmese political prisoners in Myitkyina prison located in remote town at far north of Burma who used to have 2 times a moth…<\/p>\n
