Educating on Health Care, Human Rights and Smooth Transition Process of a country were considered \u201cDay Two\u201d tasks. They could be police, soldiers, town council-men and Junta\u2019s backed thugs and so on. They could be hundred of thousands or more than a million.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Zawgyi-One\"><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>When Burma became a democratic state, the question would come to light, how we were going to deal with these criminals ranged to hundreds of thousand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Zawgyi-One\"><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>If we were to prosecute them and send them to jail, we would need a lot of jail houses. Were they willingly accepting the justice falling upon them?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Zawgyi-One\"><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>If they were not put into court, the Burmese public would not be happy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Zawgyi-One\"><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Therefore, there should be a solution to accommodate both parties to accept some specifics. This is call \u2013 \u201cTransitional Justice\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Zawgyi-One; color: blue\">Before too late<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Zawgyi-One\"><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Some scholars specializing on this issue said that we should not wait until the last minute to bring in this \u201cjustice issue\u201d after getting democracy in a state while at the transitional process. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Zawgyi-One\"><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>If we did not prepare them in advance, there came blood-shed, revenge and rebellion which caused delay in reconstruction of a country, they told.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Zawgyi-One\"><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>They said that the earlier the better to prepare and be ready for the transition period.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Zawgyi-One\"><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>The examples were made from Chile, South Africa and Argentina where they transformed from dictators into democratic countries. There were some differences in finding solution and also in their cultures but still from these perspectives, they tried to find ways how should Burmese transit or transform in the near future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Zawgyi-One; color: blue\">Criticism &#038; Excuse<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Zawgyi-One\"><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cDay One\u201d people disliked those who would like to prepare for \u201ctransitional period\u201d. They would only like to focus keenly on \u201cGetting rid of Burmese regime\u201d all together. We started hearing this \u201cwords\u201d back six years ago at Thai-Burma border. The most important and urgent prioritized works are referred to as \u201cDay One\u201d task.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Zawgyi-One\"><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>It was first used by our \u201cBurmese politician\u201d and it meant the \u201cworks\u201d focusing on \u201cGetting rid of Burmese regime\u201d and \u201cGetting democracy in Burma\u201d.
