\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 On January 3, 2009, Burmese community from Washington DC, May Land, Virginia came together to host 61st<\/sup> anniversary of Burma Independent and celebrate 88th<\/sup> anniversary of Rangoon University of Burma. Some Burmese senior writers and artists such as Director Win Pe, Maung Swan Yi, Mar Mar Aye, Aung Way and Sandayar Aung Win were invited to give memorial speeches reflecting their personal experience on those historic events.
