Agriculture is the primary livelihood of its residents.

Local sources said several of those injured in the bombing were in critical condition, raising concerns that the number of casualties could increase.

The latest attack followed another military airstrike on a maternity hospital in Mrauk-U on November 1, which reportedly killed five people, including an infant, and injured at least nine others.

Military Soldier Killed and Rifle Seized During Clash in Wetlet Township

m.CDM | November 6, 2026

One military soldier was killed and an assault rifle was seized during a clash between resistance forces and a military column allegedly attempting to steal food supplies from displaced civilians in Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region.

The information was released by Shwebo District Battalion No. 2.

According to the battalion, soldiers stationed at a military base in Hanlin Village left their position at approximately 8 p.m. on November 4 to search for and allegedly seize food supplies from shelters housing internally displaced people.

The soldiers encountered a security patrol from People’s Servant Revolution–Wetlet, operating under Shwebo District Battalion No. 2, resulting in an armed confrontation.

The resistance group reported that one military soldier was killed and an MA-3 rifle was captured. It said all resistance fighters withdrew safely without casualties.

The group also alleged that soldiers stationed at the base frequently detained local residents and forced them to purchase supplies on their behalf.

Resistance organizations urged civilians living near military positions not to provide assistance to military forces and to remain particularly alert to artillery shelling and airstrikes.

Hanlin Village is part of an ancient Pyu city recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Military forces have reportedly occupied the area since October 2022, forcing more than 10,000 residents to flee their homes.

Resistance Forces Warn Civilians Against Traveling on Katha–Htigyaing and Katha–Mawlu Roads

m.CDM | November 6, 2026

Katha District Battalion No. 1, operating under the People’s Defense Force of the National Unity Government’s Ministry of Defense, has warned civilians against traveling along the Katha–Htigyaing section of Highway No. 3 and the Katha–Mawlu road.

In a statement dated November 5, the battalion said clashes between resistance forces and Myanmar military troops were occurring almost daily along both routes.

The battalion described the roads as extremely dangerous and unsuitable for civilian travel.

It also warned travelers not to accompany or travel close to military convoys, explaining that resistance forces may conduct attacks against those convoys.

The statement said that anyone using the roads after November 5 would have to accept responsibility for the consequences, and that the battalion would not be responsible for incidents arising from such travel.

Civilians were urged to avoid these routes until the battalion officially announces that travel is permitted.

The battalion emphasized that the warning was intended to prevent civilian casualties.

Meanwhile, the Indaw Township People’s Administration reported ongoing fighting between military forces and resistance groups in and around Mawlu.

According to the administration, military forces have intensified airstrikes, indiscriminate artillery shelling and drone attacks in the surrounding areas.

Travelers stranded near Mawlu, including passengers and drivers of commercial vehicles, were urged to evacuate immediately toward Nabar Village.

Local sources also reported that military drones dropped explosives on lines of cargo trucks stranded near Mawlu Market early on November 6.

The trucks had reportedly been unable to proceed because of fighting and road closures.

Preliminary reports indicated that civilians were injured in the drone attack, although the exact number of casualties had not yet been confirmed.

Myanmar’s UN Ambassador Warns International Community Not to Underestimate Military’s Violations of International Law

m.CDM | November 6, 2026

Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, has urged the international community not to underestimate what he described as the military authorities’ blatant violations of international law.

He made the remarks during a United Nations General Assembly plenary meeting discussing the report of the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

The report describes the meeting as the 37th General Assembly, although that session number may require clarification.

Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun referred to the case brought by The Gambia against Myanmar under the Genocide Convention.

He said Myanmar was awaiting a ruling reportedly scheduled for the 19th of the month.

The ambassador emphasized that a judicial ruling alone would not be sufficient to stop ongoing atrocities.

He urged the international community to demonstrate the political determination necessary to ensure that the court’s decisions are effectively implemented.

According to the ambassador, implementing the ICJ’s decisions is essential not only for delivering justice to victims but also for preventing future international crimes.

He told the meeting that the time had come to end what he described as the cycle of impunity enjoyed by Myanmar’s military authorities, whom he accused of continuing to kill innocent civilians.

SCEF Delegation Meets South Korean representatives explained Myanmar’s current political developments, the committee’s formation, its objectives and the progress achieved so far.

The delegation urged South Korea to move beyond political expressions of support for Myanmar’s democratic movement and provide practical assistance.

Particular emphasis was placed on delivering humanitarian aid to communities inside Myanmar and along its borders through cooperation with SCEF.

The representatives proposed using SCEF member organizations that exercise territorial control to help ensure humanitarian assistance reaches communities in need.

They also called for stronger international efforts to restore democracy in Myanmar through cooperation between South Korea and ASEAN.

<ol released.

The bus company reportedly serves a large number of military personnel and their families.

Although resistance forces had previously stopped and searched the company’s vehicles and detained some individuals associated with the military, resistance organizations denied that the terminal employees had any involvement in those incidents.

Military Raids Villages in Pakokku

In Magway Region, a and burn down.

Local residents reported no civilian deaths or injuries from the bombing, but said nearly the entire village population had fled to safer locations.

Three Killed in Mandalay Robbery Allegedly Involving Pyu Saw Htee; Young People Abducted in Yangon for Forced Recruitment

m.CDM | November 6, 2026

Three people, including a mobile phone shop owner, were shot dead during an armed robbery allegedly carried out by individuals claiming to belong to the pro-military Pyu Saw Htee militia in Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region.

The incident occurred at the Htawara Mobile Phone Shop on the downhill road near Yankin Hill.

At approximately 1 p.m. on November 5, an armed robber arrived on a motorcycle and demanded money from the shop owner.

The robber reportedly declared, “I’m Pyu Saw Htee!”

When shop owner U Aung Myo Thant questioned which group the robber belonged to, the gunman allegedly shot and killed him.

The robber then fled on his motorcycle.

Two of the shop owner’s uncles, U Maung and U Phe Lone, pursued the suspect in a car.

When they reached Lein Pin Village, the gunman reportedly opened fire on their vehicle.

He also threw a hand grenade into the car.

Although the grenade failed to explode, both men were fatally wounded by gunfire.

Residents said the incident reflected deteriorating law and order in Mandalay.

On the evening of November 4, two other businesses, an electrical appliance shop and a mobile phone shop, were reportedly robbed in Chanayethazan Township.

Young People Targeted for Forced Military Recruitment in Yangon

Meanwhile, reports indicate that groups of men allegedly affiliated with military authorities and Pyu Saw Htee have been openly abducting young people in crowded areas of Yangon, including Hledan and Sanchaung.

The groups reportedly use private vehicles to carry out the abductions.

In one recent incident in Hledan, Kamayut Township, a shop employee narrowly escaped abduction while talking on his phone outside his workplace at night.

A group of knife-wielding men reportedly arrived in a car and attempted to seize him.

The employee managed to escape by running back inside the shop.

The National Unity Government has warned young people to avoid going outside at night and to take precautions against forced recruitment.

The NUG said groups operating under military authority were using intimidation, accusations and threats to detain young people for military service.

Thailand Objects to Myanmar Military’s 25 Percent Remittance Requirement; Myanmar Workers in South Korea Face Similar Threats

m.CDM | November 6, 2026

Thailand’s Labour Minister, Julapun Amornvivat, has objected to a requirement imposed by Myanmar’s military authorities that Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand remit 25 percent of their earnings to Myanmar.

The requirement reportedly obliges workers applying for a Certificate of Identity (CI) to provide evidence that they have transferred 25 percent of their earnings through officially designated channels over the preceding three to six months.

The Thai labour minister said the requirement was inconsistent with international standards.

He announced plans to submit a formal objection to Myanmar’s military-controlled Ministry of Labour and its embassy through Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Regarding demands from migrant workers’ rights organizations to abolish the CI system, the minister said CI centers remained necessary to maintain records of workers’ citizenship status and biometric information.

He also discussed plans to extend work permits for migrant workers whose permits are due to expire in February and March 2027, potentially allowing them to remain valid until 2029.

In addition, he said officially recognized refugees would be permitted to work within designated districts without requiring additional documentation.

Myanmar Workers in South Korea Threatened Over Remittances

Myanmar workers employed in South Korea under the Employment Permit System (EPS) are reportedly facing similar pressure.

Myanmar’s military authorities have allegedly threatened to take action against EPS workers who fail to remit 25 percent of their salaries through official banking channels.

Workers have also reportedly been warned that using informal money-transfer services, commonly known as hundi, could result in imprisonment of up to three years, fines of up to 300 million South Korean won or deportation.

These reported penalties have not been independently verified in this translation.

The military authorities are also reportedly pressuring Myanmar workers in other countries to pay three months of taxes when renewing their passports.

Workers returning temporarily to Myanmar are allegedly required to present evidence of tax payments and official remittances before being permitted to leave the country again.

Military Authorities Announce By-Elections in 34 Townships, Including Areas reportedly been added to the new list.

The planned by-elections also cover certain constituencies in Naypyidaw and Yangon that became vacant after elected representatives assumed government positions.

Pyin Oo Lwin Township is also included.

However, none of the 10
