class="wp-block-paragraph">The attack reportedly took place at approximately 7:00 a.m. on October 25.

According to the battalion, its fighters fired twelve long-range rockets with a reported range of 12 miles.

The Monywa Township People’s Defense Team drone unit and other local defense groups also participated, deploying drone-dropped explosives, improvised rockets, and 60 mm mortar rounds.

The battalion claimed that military personnel sustained casualties and that a signal-jamming device inside the compound was destroyed.

In a separate development, the Ramanya Mon Army (RMA) reported that three 2026

BNI–Myanmar Peace Monitor reported a sharp escalation in Myanmar military airstrikes between September 10 and October 7, during which as many as 214 civilians reportedly lost their lives in airstrikes and other conflict-related violence.

According to the organization’s findings, 51 armed clashes occurred between resistance forces and the military during the 28-day period.

Rakhine State recorded the highest number of clashes, with 12 incidents.

During the same period, the military reportedly conducted 93 airstrikes nationwide, including 35 in Rakhine State, the highest number recorded in any state or region.

Kyauktaw Township, which is under the control of the Arakan Army (AA), was reportedly among the areas most severely affected by aerial bombardment.

BNI–Myanmar Peace Monitor stated that 214 civilians were killed nationwide as a result of airstrikes and other conflict-related incidents during the reporting period.

Its figures also indicated that 134 military commission personnel and ten members of the People’s Defense Forces were killed in fighting.

According to data collected by BNI–Myanmar Peace Monitor, a total of 7,780 armed clashes and 3,534 airstrikes had been recorded across Myanmar between the February 2021 military coup and early October 2026.

Justice For Myanmar Exposes Alleged Importation of Military Aviation Fuel Disguised as Diesel

m.CDM | October 26, 2026

Justice For Myanmar (JFM) revealed on October 26 that companies linked to Myanmar’s military have allegedly been importing aviation fuel for military use while falsely declaring the shipments as diesel fuel.

According to JFM, the military has employed trade-related deception to conceal the importation of aviation fuel used in its air operations.

The organization identified alleged irregularities in six fuel shipments between December 2024 and November 2025, with a combined declared value of US$109.5 million.

These shipments reportedly contained more than 843,000 barrels of fuel.

During the period when these fuel shipments entered Myanmar, military airstrikes increased significantly.

In 2025, civilian deaths resulting from airstrikes reportedly increased by more than 50 percent compared with the previous year.

According to United Nations records cited in the report, at least 982 civilians, including 232 children, were killed in airstrikes that year.

JFM said its investigation was based on an examination of documents from the military-controlled Ministry of Commerce and the Foreign Exchange Supervisory Committee (FESC), together with leaked company contracts and invoices.

The documents identified two Myanmar companies, Dynamic Wave and PP Petroleum, as the declared importers.

However, JFM alleged that the actual purchaser behind the shipments was National Energy Prime Aviation Services Company Limited (NEPAS).

NEPAS is a private-sector partner of the military-controlled Myanma Petrochemical Enterprise (MPE).

GSCB Calls for International Prosecution of Myanmar Military for Alleged International Crimes

m.CDM | October 26, 2026

The General Strike Coordination Body (GSCB) has called on the international community to recognize Myanmar’s military as an organization committing international crimes and to take collective action to ensure prosecution and accountability.

The appeal was issued to mark the first anniversary of a deadly military paramotor bombing during a Thadingyut candlelight festival near the border between Monywa and Chaung-U townships.

On the full moon night of Thadingyut in 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., military forces reportedly used a motorized paraglider, or paramotor, to drop bombs on civilians gathered for a candlelight ceremony.

At least 24 people were killed, including members of the Monywa–Amyint Road Strike Committee and the Chaung-U Township Youth Strike Committee.

More than 60 others were injured.

In its statement, the GSCB accused the military of continuing widespread abuses since the February 2021 coup, including arbitrary arrests, torture in interrogation centers and prisons, killings of civilians during military operations, and aerial bombardments of schools, hospitals, and religious buildings.

The organization also criticized the military for staging public festivals in areas under its control to create an appearance of normalcy while simultaneously intensifying forced conscription and arrests.

Furthermore, the GSCB alleged that the military was attempting to avoid accountability for war crimes and gain political legitimacy by securing recognition for a government emerging from what the group described as a sham election.

Thirty-Three Arrested in Drug Raid at South Okkalapa KTV, Including Two Female Judges and Military Officers

m.CDM | October 26, 2026

Thirty-three individuals, including two female judges and military officers, were reportedly arrested during a drug raid at VIBE KTV in South Okkalapa Township, Yangon Region.

The raid was conducted by a specialized anti-narcotics unit at approximately 12:30 a.m. on October 25 at VIBE KTV & Entertainment, located on Industrial Road 6 in Ward 8, South Okkalapa Township.

According to reports, officers discovered seven men and six women inside a VIP room named “Gentlemen.”

Authorities reportedly seized twelve packets of ketamine, two packets of a drug mixture commonly known as “Happy Water,” and a DJ system.

Among those arrested in that room were reportedly Daw Nwe Ni Myint, an associate judge from Okpho Township, and Daw Eint Hmu Khin, a judge from Phyu Township.

In another VIP room named “UFO,” authorities reportedly detained nine men and four women, including Major Tun Lin Soe and Captain Kaung Thant Min, who were serving at a military hospital in Naypyidaw.

Officers reportedly confiscated ten packets of Happy Water, 110 stimulant tablets marked “WY,” and a DJ system from that room.

In a third room named “Tom & Jerry,” four men were reportedly detained.

Authorities allegedly seized two packets of marijuana, two packets of Happy Water, one packet of ketamine, one ecstasy tablet, and DJ equipment.

Altogether, 23 men and ten women were detained during the operation.

Those arrested reportedly included KTV supervisors Kaung Myat Phyo and Kyaw Kyaw Moe, along with assistant manager Saw Thar Kyi.

The detainees were reportedly being held for questioning at Yangon’s Anti-Narcotics Police Unit 3.

However, judicial sources alleged that efforts were underway to remove the military officers and two female judges from the criminal case before formal charges were filed, allowing them to face only internal disciplinary investigations.

Local residents also claimed that military officers frequently consume illegal drugs at KTV establishments and bars in military-controlled cities without facing consequences.

Some residents speculated that the arrests may have resulted from an internal dispute or an attempt by rival factions to target one another.

These allegations have not been independently verified.

Closing

<p
