Two civilians were killed when Military Commission forces carried out airstrikes near U Raz Mountain Bridge in Ponnagyun Township, Sittwe District, Rakhine State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At around 12:30 p.m. on September 13, a fighter jet reportedly dropped one bomb near the riverbank by the U Raz Mountain suspension bridge on the Seti Yin village side and another into the creek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bombs exploded near passenger motorboats operating close to the bridge. A 65-year-old boat worker, U Moe Moe from Lay Kan village in Rathedaung Township, and 37-year-old Daw Soe Soe from Seti Yin village were reportedly killed instantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Three others \u2014 nine-year-old Ma Phyu Htwe, 71-year-old Daw U Kyawt Sein from Seti Yin village and U Aung Win Maung from Rathedaung \u2014 sustained minor shrapnel injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At around 1 p.m., the military also reportedly dropped three 500-pound bombs on the historic U Raz Mountain Pagoda in Ponnagyun Township. The pagoda was heavily damaged, with its upper section collapsing from the middle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Military Commission forces are currently conducting intense offensives along the Sittwe-Ponnagyun border area using ground troops, naval forces, aircraft, artillery and drones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reports said that after suffering setbacks in ground fighting, the military has increasingly used airstrikes against populated areas, schools, monasteries and places where civilians gather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

m.CDM, September 13<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Military Commission forces carried out an airstrike on Bwe Li village, located between Samee in Paletwa District and Matupi Township in Chin State, damaging grocery shops and restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The attack took place on the evening of September 12, reportedly using a 300-pound bomb and targeting areas where Starlink internet was being used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No civilian casualties were reported, but grocery stores, restaurants and a vehicle were damaged, while some domestic animals were killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On August 12, Military Commission forces also reportedly dropped four bombs on Ward 2 in Samee, killing one civilian and injuring eight others, including five children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Myaing Township, Magway Region, Military Commission forces stationed in Tae Gyi village reportedly fired 120mm artillery rounds toward the Kyauk Khwet oil field at around 11 a.m. on September 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The shelling took place despite no fighting in the area. One civilian collecting oil was injured by shrapnel. Thousands of residents have also reportedly fled because military troops are stationed in Tae Gyi village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Bhamo Township, Kachin State, Military Commission forces carried out airstrikes on the morning of September 13, and about half of Kaung Tong village was reportedly destroyed by fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The attacks came after military vessels travelling from Bhamo were ambushed. The military subsequently launched repeated strikes around Bhamo and along the Ayeyarwady River.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reports said at least 15 airstrikes were carried out around Shwegu, Sinkhan, Bhamo and communities along the river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

m.CDM, September 13<\/p>\n\n\n\n
KIA-led resistance forces reportedly attacked and destroyed six Military Commission vessels travelling downstream from Bhamo toward Mandalay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ambush took place on the morning of September 13 between Sawati and Mya Lel villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the first attack, three vessels reportedly caught fire, with one sinking. A second group of three military vessels was later attacked, and all three reportedly sank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In total, four vessels were said to have sunk and two others were badly damaged by fire in a single day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On September 12, resistance forces also reportedly destroyed another military vessel between Sawati and Thabyay Kone villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since late August, around 24 military and cargo vessels have reportedly been destroyed, while 151 Military Commission personnel were captured as prisoners of war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the losses, the military used Y-12 aircraft and fighter jets from around 2 p.m. on September 13 through the morning of September 14 to carry out at least 15 bombing attacks on Sawati, Nyaung Pin Thar, Kaung Tong and areas along the Ayeyarwady River.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Military Commission troops conducting ground offensives between Shwegu and Bhamo were reportedly forced to retreat toward Shwegu after suffering heavy casualties in attacks by KIA-led forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three explosions occurred around midnight in Myawaddy, Karen State, damaging a small traffic police post, according to local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the early hours of September 13, three explosions were reported in succession. A traffic police booth near the Yay Pu traffic lights was damaged, but no casualties were reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The explosions reportedly occurred after 1 a.m. near the Myawaddy police station, the Yay Pu traffic lights and Friendship Bridge No. 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Local reports said two vehicles and the traffic police office at Yay Pu were damaged by fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before the blasts, residents reportedly heard drones flying over Myawaddy from around 11 p.m. on September 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some local military sources speculated that the explosions may not have been carried out by ethnic armed groups or resistance forces, and suggested possible military involvement. This claim has not been independently verified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NUG Defence Minister U Yee Mon has called on young people to come to resistance-controlled areas to escape forced recruitment by the Military Commission. U Min Ko Naing also urged youths not to allow their lives to be wasted \u201cunder military boots.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The remarks were made during a discussion program titled \u201cThe Ground Stepped on with a Winning Spirit Becomes Victorious Ground.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
U Yee Mon said arrangements would be made for young people entering resistance areas to participate in education, healthcare, assistance for displaced people, public services, production work or preparations for travelling abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the military\u2019s forced recruitment of young people across Myanmar has become an important source of manpower for the military, but also reflects one of its major weaknesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that an official announcement would soon be issued to help young people at risk of forced conscription reach resistance-controlled territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Those wishing to take up combat duties would be able to join PDF or Pa Ka Pha units, while those not seeking combat roles could work in education, healthcare, humanitarian assistance, public services, development and production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
U Yee Mon also said efforts would be made to ensure those arriving in resistance areas could live with dignity and have a reasonable degree of security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said fighting forced conscription would be an important part of the revolution and would require cooperation from the public and young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
U Min Ko Naing urged youths to leave areas under military control rather than submit to pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDo not let your life become meaningless under the military\u2019s boots. Come over to this side. We are ready to face whatever comes together,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Military Commission\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has accused Myanmar\u2019s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, of financial misuse and treason, and announced that he has been \u201cdismissed\u201d from his position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The military accused him of withdrawing and using about US$2.76 million and more than \u20ac38,000 in state funds without its authorization and of misusing the money for personal benefit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It also accused him of maintaining direct contact with the NUG and CRPH, acting on their behalf, misusing the UN platform, raising funds for the resistance and providing protection to resistance-related activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The military said charges had been filed under Penal Code Section 122(2), the Unlawful Associations Act Section 17(1), and Telecommunications Law Section 66(d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It also said U Kyaw Moe Tun had been declared a fugitive and threatened to pursue his arrest through Interpol, U.S. law enforcement and diplomatic channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The announcement comes shortly before the UN General Assembly session, and critics say it is intended to damage U Kyaw Moe Tun\u2019s reputation and influence deliberations over Myanmar\u2019s representation at the UN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a separate report, leaked documents allegedly showed that the Military Commission had dispatched 15 covert military intelligence teams to Mae Sot, Thailand, to monitor resistance organizations and CDM activists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The operation was reportedly led by Major Aung Kyaw Oo, also known as Hla Tun. Captain Than Htay, also known as Myo Swe, was said to be responsible for developing informant networks, while Captain Zaw Win Naing, also known as San Min Htet, was reportedly responsible for cyber intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other members were said to include Captain Kyaw Zeya for financial intelligence, Captain Myo Min Aung for infiltration operations, four officers, two lieutenant-level officers and three sergeants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The teams were reportedly expected to pose as cross-border traders, migrant workers, displaced people and CDM participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They were also allegedly instructed to recruit businesspeople, brokers, financially vulnerable migrant workers and NGO employees as informants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their main targets reportedly included the movements of resistance leaders, secret defence-related safe houses, overseas funding routes and arms supply networks, with intelligence to be reported directly to the military intelligence headquarters in Naypyidaw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, some CDM officers, Thai intelligence sources and lawyers have questioned the credibility of claims that such covert teams were actually deployed in Mae Sot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myanmar people living in Britain held a demonstration outside the Houses of Parliament in London on September 12, calling for Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun to continue representing Myanmar at the United Nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rally was attended by NUG representatives, ethnic community groups in Britain, Kim Aris \u2014 the younger son of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi \u2014 and actress May Myat Noe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Participants urged international governments to support U Kyaw Moe Tun at the UN General Assembly, work with public representative organizations including the NUG and SCEF, and avoid recognizing or cooperating with the military regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Myanmar communities in cities around the world have been organizing similar demonstrations in support of U Kyaw Moe Tun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another rally is planned outside UN Headquarters on the morning of September 22, when world leaders are scheduled to deliver speeches at the 81st UN General Assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prison authorities in 13 prisons have allegedly been extorting political prisoners and their families and deliberately restricting the delivery of medicines, according to the Political Prisoners Network-Myanmar, or PPNM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PPNM said prison officials have been imposing unauthorized charges on officially deposited money, prison parcels and medicine deliveries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Authorities reportedly deduct between 2 percent and 20 percent of money deposited through official prison channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Obo Prison, Meiktila Prison and Taungoo Prison were described as among the worst for alleged financial exploitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At Obo, Meiktila, Taungoo, Kyaikmaraw, Daik-U, Pyay, Myingyan, Shwebo and Paungde prisons, families are reportedly forced to purchase designated parcel bags costing between 1,500 and 2,000 kyats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PPNM also said additional fees ranging from 500 kyats to 15,000 kyats are being charged under categories such as receipt fees and paperwork fees, with extra payments demanded when parcels are sent by people who are not immediate family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ko Myat Soe, the Pa Ka Pha official responsible for Gon Nyin Seik area in Myinmu Township, Sagaing Region, reportedly defected to the military on the morning of September 3 after taking more than ten weapons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His wife had reportedly defected about three days earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ko Myat Soe was also accused of taking 1.5 million kyats donated for flood victims, as well as funds collected to purchase weapons, before fleeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sources close to the case alleged that the couple had operated gambling businesses, carried out kidnappings and robberies, and abused civilians while claiming to be part of the resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some Pa Ka Pha members had reportedly filed complaints about his suspicious activities with township authorities, but no action was taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the same day he defected, Military Commission reconnaissance drones were reportedly seen flying over Gon Nyin Seik village and nearby areas, prompting warnings for local residents to remain vigilant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Including this case, around ten resistance members in Myinmu Township have reportedly defected to the military during September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
