MAKING OF A RIGHT ANGLE
Euclid said that a right angle is formed when
two lines meet in such a way that the two adjacent angles, those angles lying side by side
are equal to each other.

This definition gives us an effective yet
childlikely simple method of obtaining a right angle. It is a practical application of Euclid’s
picture of folding papers
Take a piece of paper.Fold it as shown in the
diagram. The fold will be a straight line. Then fold
it again so that the two parts of the line fall
exactly one on another also as shown. Then unfold the paper .The two folds will intersect at right angles. You will find four right angles.
