May Nyane opens Burmese Language School

May Nyane , one of Burmese writer and contributor to MoeMaKa News Group from Maryland starts her own Burmese languare school online.

On her leaflet, she stated as follows;

My name is May Nyane and I am teaching Burmese Language Online Course.

I have over thirty years’ experience as a Burmese Language Teacher, and teaching Burmese as a second language to the Officials in the United States.

 

I am also a published author of ficton and poetry, and an avid participant in Myanmar’s

vibrant literary and arts scene.and poetry, and an avid participant in Myanmar’s vibrant literary and arts scene.

 

The Philosophy

To immerse students in the language,  teach them the basic structures so that they can become functonal in Burmese and use their foundation to learn independently as quickly as possible.

 

Actvites

Other in-class actvites include role-playing, games and poetry readings.

 

Out of Class

Students will have their own homework assignments to complete outside of class tme.

 

The Course

The course is structured around the four skills of speaking, reading, listening, and writng, with sixteen hours of instructon dedicated to each skill.

 

The Approach

I use a multi-media approach to teaching the language, with video clips featuring everyday situations and sound files with a variety of native speakers.
