88 Poem by Junior Win

Thou showeth ‘Unity is strength’,
Thou art ‘the meant of sacrifice’,
Oh! Thou art, the spirit of motherland!
Everyone’s voice was lifted; demanding their freedom without fear,
But all the prisoned birds could not find in freedom,
Could not still wing wildly across the white, orchard and dark – green fields and so on.
Oh! Thou….. Fallen in the cause of the free………………
All the heart were shaken with tears,
But nobody dared to burst with fear,
‘What a shame to our country that such sights are to be seen.’
Oh! …in that Killing Field.
But seeing is believing….
I…..
I stood as a spectator, watched this bloody show,
‘The valiant never taste of death, but once.’
I as a coward die many times before death.
