After the dead of a novice-monk with some brain illness, the news caused upset to the people of Pakoku, a small town in middle of Buma to seek vaccine and to wear masks.

According to one neighbor, a 14 year old novice-monk suffered high fever and passed away at the hospital bed last week and the doctors speculated that it might be infection from the virus to the brain. The hearsay spread immediately to the people and the fear had caused them to rush for vaccines.

The medicine demanded highly  was found to be Ciferon 500 ml, it was learnt.

Pakoku became well-known in 2007 September, Saffron revolution where Buddhist monks marched peaceful protest against the Burmese regime.
